Editorial Reviews

I got my package yesterday, and read it to the boys at bedtime. Cooper said he loved it, and both he and Simon flipped through the pages a second time before lights-out. I think he gets it, too! I'm going to give my second copy to my niece and nephews and my third copy to the principal of Cooper's school. Great work! --Mother of Two - Canada

I thought you'd like to know that a child who's not yet 5 years old likes your book. And, after reading it a few times, I can see that he's grasping the number concepts in the book more clearly. It's really something to see. --Mother of One - USA

I've just put my son down for his nap. Of all of the books on his bookshelf, he chose Negative Nine for his bedtime story today. And, it's not the first time he's done that! --Excited Parent - USA

Format: Board book
This is a fabulous book for introducing the concept of negative numbers and the number line! My girls (6 and 4) both LOVE this book! The rhythm and repetition of the text is great, and my 4 year old can recite entire verses from this book! "Negative Nine was down all the time. He was down all because of his size and his sign..." and "I need to find MY place on this Great Number Line." The pictures are cute, not overdone, and get the points across beautifully. This is a very well thought out, well-done book! I sure hope that there will be other books that can be written in the same style to explain other mathematical concepts as well!
