5.0 out of 5 stars Wild but fun, December 11, 2001

This review is from: Neglected Geological Anomalies: A Catalog of Geological Anomalies (Hardcover)
William Corliss fills a great need in geology as a source for dissenting opinions on accepted geological theories. Wild and sometimes down right crazy ideas are presented. This is a great book for anyone in geology wanting to break out of the standard mold and look around. Most of the anomalies are easily explained, but it is fun doing so, sort of like doing a crossword puzzle. But once in awhile you will find one that will make you rethink some of the things you thought you knew. Most of the geology in this book is wrong, so I can't recommend it for most people, but for those versed in geology, it is a interesting off beat book. It has a very well organized format making it easy to look things up. All most all of the entries are length of paragraphs, so a great number of anomalies are presented. This book is part of a series on geological anomalies, and is only a small part of Corliss' library of books on anomalies in general.
