Over the summer, I have not had a lot of time for studying Negocios Sin Fronteras. However, I have skimmed over some of the textbook. Here is a little bit of information. 2.0 out of 5 stars Not for self-study
This book is not suitable for self-study. Nowhere in the editorial review did it say this, so I thought I'd put it out there. All of the questions and comparative thinking sections are meant for a native or advanced Spanish speaker to answer for you. The answers are not found anywhere.

I will be taking intermediate spanish when the academic year starts in August. Negocios Sin Fronteras is the required textbook. Over the summer, I have not had a lot of time for studying Negocios Sin Fronteras. However, I have skimmed over some of the textbook. Here is a little bit of information. Negocios Sin Fronteras is for students that already know some spanish. If you are about to take an intermediate spanish course, and you have not practiced lately, you should start. Speaking, reading, and writing is the best way to learn. If you saved the textbook from a previous spanish course, study it.

Talk to people that know spanish, and do not be embarrassed if you do not know every word. Examine the context of words you are unsure about. You may gain an implicit understanding. For example, someone says "sacar la basura," and you only know that basura means trash. Examine the situation. If the trash can is full, it is likely that the person is saying take out the trash (sacar = take out).

Read the textbook. You do not have to read every word, but look for what is relevant. During the academic year, always read the current section. You will know what is happening in class.

Do the exercises because writing reinforces. Also, repetitively write word banks until you can remember them. Then, quiz yourself and grade the paper. Quiz yourself until you get a grade of 100%. Quiz yourself before every exam to make sure you have retained everything.
