5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive collection of articles and exercises.
This falls between the average "how to" and academic journal type articles. Great for classroom use, or for enterprising individuals who want to teach themselves about negotiation. Nearly all the authorities in organizational behavior and negotiation are included here. Nice variety of approaches to the subject. Exercises cover the range and include material...

The articles in this book are great reading. They provide thoughtful insite on many different topics. The cases, however, are completely useless without the instructors' manual. This falls between the average "how to" and academic journal type articles. Great for classroom use, or for enterprising individuals who want to teach themselves about negotiation. Nearly all the authorities in organizational behavior and negotiation are included here. Nice variety of approaches to the subject. Exercises cover the range and include material on natural environment and on international negotiation. International material needs more, but gives good beginning frameworks. Exercises need teacher's manual (forthcoming?).

5.0 out of 5 stars Teaching Review, February 28, 2006
By
John Baxter "jb" (Chicago, Illinois) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Negotiation: Readings, Exercises, and Cases (Paperback)
The text from Lewicki, Barry, and Saunders is the most complete - and comprehensive - compilation of articles, cases, and exercises I've found in my teaching Negotiations at college, University, and corporate business.
The authors/editors have selected excellent articles from some of the foremost writers on Negotiation ... and coupled them with cases which highlight what you've just read. I have recommended it to friends, and continute to select it for graduate level courses in Negotiations. My students like the text, and plan to keep it on their shelves (rather than sell it back to the bookstore).

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Resource, February 18, 2006

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased this book as a requirement for an MBA class, and am certainly glad my professor uses it! I have found it to be a very readable, practical and informative book. The readings are by assorted authors from both the academic and professional world, which provides a great understanding of how concepts are actually used. I would recommend this to anyone, student or professional, who is interested in learning more about how negotiation really works.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dense but thorough, October 5, 2007
This review is from: Negotiation: Readings, Exercises, and Cases (Paperback)
The book is very good, but dense. You need to read over the book carefully to get everything out of it.

This was a great text for a college course. Easy reading and short chapters that get to the point. Relevant case studies.

3.0 out of 5 stars Less than Pleased, January 13, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Book was functionable, no pages were missing and very few highlights. However the cover was pretty badly worn and the corner of the first ten pages was ripped. I would have expected the book to be in better condition given the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars NEgotiations Book Review, October 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Its a good book for knowing the different topics that enroll the negotiation topics. The difference (and advantage) of this book instead others, is that meets various papers about negotiations, from important writters.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible conditions, June 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This was in very bad conditions as half of the book had water damage. Half of the book had wrinkled and stains of water damage. I would of preferred to pay more and get a book in good conditions.
I was very disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A textbook I would read without the class, November 19, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book is full of useful advice and reflections on negotiation. I have already found the lessons to be useful in the course of casual and formal negotiating at work. I highly recommend the book.
