This review is from: The Negro Leagues Revisited: Conversations with 66 More Baseball Heroes (Hardcover)
I have the pleasure of having season tickets right behind one of the gentlemen interviewed for this book and spent the last baseball game enjoying an advanced copy of it. The book is filled with great stats and homestyle pictures. The compilation flows with the memories of young men, that have somehow, gotten to be old men. Tall tales abound with plenty of winks and nods, but just reading about the antics, road trips and walks to the ball parks makes my heart ache for youth for these men. my hope is that all will read this book, or any book about the negro and independant leagues, they are a reminder of when baseball was less of a business and more of a passion.

The third of Brent Kelley's books I've read and just as good as the others. Once you pick up the book you don't want to stop reading it!
