4.0 out of 5 stars solid, June 21, 2001

this album is tight and dark, very strong. dalek raps well and comes up with some truly sick wall-of-noise type sounds, loops, and beats. there is a good sense of song here--the swells and breaks are intricate, heavy, and purposeful--dalek has a handle on each track's direction, and nothing comes across as formulaic. ==excellent underground hiphop==

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing group, not for 50-cent fans, June 8, 2003

All i can say is, wether you like rap or not, this album will still please you. I heard of these guys recently because i was going to see the melvins, and these guys opened for them. The first thing that drew my attention was the incredibly huge stack of electronics on stage for the turntable player(i dont know what else to call him, so i'll say DJ). The "dj" was the first one up on the stage, and had a HUMONGUS afro, which also drew my attention. From the moment all of them got on stage, i figured it would be just a normal main-stream rap group, judging only by their clothes(the singer had on a jersey and a baseball cap and all that stuff... chains) but right when the first song started up, i knew it was gonna get crazy. The "dj" had amazing scratching skills.. at some points his hands were moving so fast, they wernt visible. On stage, he was a beast-headbanging.. vinyl flying everywhere, whipping his body in every direction possible. but after the show, he was back in his jacket, wearing glasses outside the club giving a girl advice with her life. i dont even own the cd. i dont have to. i experienced them. and ill do it again

5.0 out of 5 stars Something different, something incredible., March 8, 2003

Wow, this album is really hard to describe, so I'll be lazy and I'll just say that this is NOT MERELY A CD, IT IS AN EXPERIENCE! This is not for the common hip-hop fan, and takes time to be digested and truly enjoyed. But for those who are open minded, this cd is quite incredible and enjoyable. The beats and samples are wonderfully cacophonous, yet they still come together to form something great and coherent. The lyrics (while occasionally hard to understand) are on point, intelligent and well written. Incredible ep from an even more incredible group.

This album is amazing. In my opinion this is the best rap album since "The Low End Theory", by A Tribe Called Quest. I can not say enough good things about this album. Even though this is considered an EP it is 40 minutes long, and to me that is an album. It is just amazing, buy it, anyone who likes music that is creative and is not afraid to push the envelope>
