Rich and moving,

This review is from: The Negro Speaks of Rivers: Art Songs by African-American Composers (Audio CD)
Amaize's selection of art songs covers a wide range of poets, among them Sappho, Langston Hughes, Paul Laurence Dunbar, and Robert Burns. Whatever he's singing, you know it comes from someplace very deep in his soul. A wonderful CD.

As happens on Amazon, I found this while looking for something else. It's a group of American art songs, done right. It's very listenable, sample a few here!
