This book contains the entire storyline of the movie in both text and illustration and hits all the key events with perfect focus. The 'illustrations' are taken directly from the movie but are very crisp and high quality - not like some books that have poor quality movie stills. Our kids love this movie, have a home made soot-sprite mobile in their bedroom, and are crazy about this book. This is a really nice quality hard cover book and is much better than the comic book version in my opinion. Price is very cheap for what you get.

The book pretty much follows the story of the movie and is full of movie photos. It's a bit long for a childs book, but my kid loves it and we read it every night.

So if you're kids love the movie and want to see it over and over again, buy and read them the book instead.

Very nice! Totoro is a wonderful story with memorable characters that you fall in love with. This picture book is a great companion piece to the film. We particularly enjoyed the first pages that introduce you to the main characters and give you some interesting information about them - such as how old the different sized Totoro's are!

Miyazaki is a genius, and what a great way to enjoy the Totoro story any time, any place.

My daughter wanted a totoro party for her 3rd birthday. I ordered this for one of her gifts. I'm amazed at how nice it is for this price. Lovely pictures from the movie, totoro maps in the back, character explanations in the front, and the fantastic story in the middle. She is going to go crazy for this book. Its a large nice hardcover book with a dust jacket. Very nice quality. I think my daughter will like this better than the movie!!

If your child (or you!) likes the movie they'll love the picture book! It is basically frames from the film with the (simplified) story. It is a lot longer and mroe in depth than I had realized but my 2 year old (!) is enthralled by it... This is the longest/thickest book he will sit still to read.... Highly recommend as a gift! OR for long car ride/air/train trips

This book is very adorable and follows the movie well. If you like the movie you will like the book.

I got this book for my great niece. This movie was my daughter's fave as a child and I wanted to introduce it to the nextgen. The book was the perfect segue into the movie for a 2 year old.

My kids loved the book the min. they saw it. They've always watched Totoro on video, so this was just a major plus to have the book in their hands. I love the storybook. It allows me to read to my kids without having to turn on the TV. :-)

My daughter loves this movie and SCREAMED her head off when she opened this present for Christmas! The book is BEAUTIFUL and I can't believe the price. Buy, buy, buy!!!! Thank you so much for this book!!

My kids are huge fans of the movie My Neighbor Totoro. So, it was only fitting that I purchased the book. I love this hardcover book version of the movie. It's a pretty extensive book. I probably wouldn't read it at bedtime because it would take a very long time. But it's nice for the kids to look at the pictures and see them smile at the pictures. This is a great companion to the DVD.
