Customer Reviews

Gory, scary and a lot of fun.

What I cannot stomach is someone trying to make an "Arty" film of a horror movie by filling it with mind-numbing gore, no character development, and no plot.

If a psychological, slightly bloody gore, thriller is on your menu then you will find your self tuning your head a few times in this one; unless you have an excessive amount of sadism in your genes. Somewhat close to "SAW" level for a, and you couldn't tell, low budget film. A slightly satirical and comedic portrayal of the neighbor you don't want to have. Also reminded me of the Hong Kong movie "Dream Home" where a young girl, growing up in a slum, does not lack for imagination in getting the Condo she's dreamed of having.

What makes this movie a little different than countless others? The script was creative and novel in that the victims all were likable and the killer had a unique darkly comedic personality and her methods were a bit unusual. The special effects (props, prosthetics) were first rate and you could see that the care they took in creating them was so realistic that even the actors were cringing when viewing the editing scenes. Kudos to Vincent Gugstini for his efforts. My only criticism here would be that the blood wasn't quite the right viscosity and color. What really carries the film is the acting by America Olivo (as the Neighbor) who created a unique character - maniacal and darkly diabolical yet insanely charming and comical. Hard to believe she's a classically trained singer.

This neighbor is on the loose and I'm sure she show up in a sequel - perhaps in your neighborhood.

Totally loved this flick. And the great thing is it is wide open for a sequel (Hopefully). Beauty can be quite beastly if given the chance, and the new Neighbor (America Olivo) shows just how much. This Psycho B*tch might even turn Hannibal Lecter and Buffalo Bill's stomachs and make the owners of the Hostels want to close their doors. An all out psycho kill-fest of one twisted wicked Beauty. AAA+++

I liked this film a lot...of course it's not something I'd recommend if you plan on eating while watching it...or soon there after.

This is a great film which manipulates time, and the perception of the "fairer sex." America Olivo is despicably awesome as "the girl," and will make you think twice if you're in the dating market. Think Fatal Attraction meets Hostel...with a bit of the ultra violence thrown in for good measure.

Great date movie, as long as it doesn't give her any ideas!

I enjoyed the simple storyline of boy meets girl, and girl breaks boys heart as well as some other important boys parts.

Not a ton to say about this film really. I'm not going to bother telling all about the plot, not that there's a ton to explain anyway, but I must say I was somewhat surprised by the film. Being a huge horror fan, I've sat through my fair share of terrible B-horror films. But this one was a bit different. Not to say the acting was great, but it wasn't bad. The storyline wasn't either, just for the fact that there's not a lot going on as far as plot. The characters needed more depth to them I thought, and some back story of the "neighbor" would have been nice. However, I find that with most good horror films, the less you know about the killer or the reason behind their methods, is better for the audience. Its left up to the imagination which I think is usually far more effective in these kinds of films. What I really appreciate about this film was its gore factor. It was on par, if not better, than effects you see in Hostel or Saw. Very effective and graphic. And anyone who appreciates good special effects, blood, and gore will see what I mean. Overall, this is a definite watch for the horror fanatic. The causal movie viewer might find some of the more graphic scenes bothersome. But as for me, I definitely give this film a tip of the hat to not really holding any punches and having great effects for its budget.

I discovered this film by accident and I'm glad i did. It turned out to be really good. It's an unusual story about a hot chick who is actually a serial killer. It has plenty of gore too, which i like. I also love the fact that all through the movie, she makes reference to various movie quotes (Now do you want to see something REALLY scary?, Is it safe, etc.) I know there are a lot of negative reviews here about this movie but if you don't know what to expect, its good. There is a lot of great music all through it too, by a group called the Low Budgets, particularly the songs, "I'll Wipe My Ass With The World." and "Philladlphia." If you haven't seen this and like gory movies like "Hostel", you'll love this one....
