Installed in the attic space over my garage where we store seasonal stuff. Seems to be heavy duty and worked well right out of the box. I had to modify the mounting brackets to add heavy duty eye bolts so I could mount it to the ridge beam. I think they should provide several mounting options in addition to tubular steel. Other than that, I am quite satisfied with the product. Note: There is also a "professional model" with the same 880 lb lift rate for an additional $10-15. All the motor specs etc. are the same as the 880 lb model I bought for $104. Puzzling???

Aircraft Winch,

I used this hoist as a winch to tow my light (but not that light)aircraft back into a hangar. It was delivered as scheduled and performs well. Naturally it required a modification to the normal mounting technique for my application. That would have been easier for if the mounting bolts were US/English Standard instead of metric.

This hoist worked well for a year then when a cold spell hit it wouldn't work at all. Once it warmed up the up control button worked but the down control button did not. Incidentally, the up button became functionally the down button and visa versa. Looked for the user manual and found no reference to the manufacturer probably because they don't want to hear from you when their product breaks down.
