This shovel doesn't have a lot of structural strength. If you try to lift icy snow, it bends a lot. My shovel is now flat, not a scoop as it bent severly in one day of shoveling. I wouldn't recommend it for anything except light, freshly fallen new snow.

I bought this well made shovel to break through the icy snow and scoop it up. I just used it for the first time and it was the perfect shovel for the job. I am sure this shovel will be well used on a yearly basis.

Only complaint...the shovel was wrapped in an unreal amount of layers of plastic when shipped. It took me at least 45 mins of cutting through the plastic with a razor just to get to the shovel.

Best snow shovel I've ever used... Strong and will last for years-plus. Unlike the weaker models which I've replaced on a yearly basis.

This shovel replaced a typical plastic scoop with metal edge snow shovel after it got a work out during the February 2009 east coast storm. I ordered this shovel after the plastic on cracked. I needed this one to remove snow from the driveway and sidewalk, but because of the snow, it didn't get delivered until the snow was cleared. Felt like a Catch-22.

Anyhow, this works perfectly. It digs right in to hard pack and fluffy snow. It can pick up chunks as heavy as your back will allow.

I've had no problems with this shovel, at least when it comes to snow.

This shovel is as nice as described, it is lightweight and strong, and works very well for moving snow.
