The NASA Now app works well on a Kindle Fire HD. It has been very stable for me, with no crashes or performance issues. There are LOTS of words, lots of details and links to lots of images. The screen shots on the product page give the false impression that the app shows plenty of photos/images all the time. The "Image of the Day" link leads to a _description_ of the image, which requires an extra click/tap to display; and there is no archive of previous IOTDs. Most of the information is updated several times a week (sometimes not for a day or two, then sometimes multiple times in a day). You could probably find all of this information on various NASA web sites, but this app brings it all in to one convenient place. Not bad for 99˘.
