I bought this brush to clean some mold off the vinyl siding on the back of my house. The brush works great and its nice to be able to control the force of the water comming out. The soap did nothing for me, don't bother with the dispencer. The biggest issue I had was that the hose is very cumbersome to drag back and forth while scrubbing. It makes it tough to use and wera you out a little. The brush did the job in removing the mold just fine, but I found that I had to take frequent breaks.

The unusually wet summer (2009) in the Northeast has made ideal growing conditions for "scum." This inexpensive brush made a quick job of removing that scum on our one-story ranch. We got a "Gold Box" special price on the brush, which arrived in old-school plastic welded packaging. I managed to open it without injury. The "kit" consists of the brush with soap dispenser, and a sample bottle of detergent that is labeled with the instructions for the dispenser. The bottle does not fill the dispenser to the "full" mark. The dispenser can be filled with any "basic good quality non-bleach" household cleaner (which suggests Formula 409 Glass & Surface Cleaner, 1gal Bottle or SC Johnson #00286 32OZ All Purp Fantastik or similar spray-bottle cleaning solutions).
The "Achilles' heel" of this or any similar tool is that it is designed to be attached to your garden hose. For scrubbing the outer surface of a rain gutter, that means you have not only the brush but also the hose to haul up the ladder. That can get heavy, but we did not find this overly burdensome in use. The brush bristles are medium-stiff split nylon, and they make quick work of surface grime. They also restored the shine of the enamel paint on our aluminum gutters. The manufacturer warns that the brush is not designed for use on fine surfaces such as waxed or clear-coated metal (that means cars and trucks). Water flow is controlled with a ball valve that reduces but does not shut off the flow. A palm-length trigger with a short stroke turns water flow on and off. Detergent is dispensed by pressing a button on the dispenser cap; this appears to inject detergent into the water flow. I found it was easy to wash the detergent right out of the brush before it could be applied to the surface. It was, as you might expect, much more effective to minimize the water flow before using the detergent. More intentional product directions would have included a recommendation to use minimal water flow for washing, maximal water flow for rinsing. The dispenser fell off the brush housing once during use. The brush is shaped appropriately for this job, fitting into the crevices and corners created by house siding and gutters. Using it "sideways" made short work of the siding, as it allowed me to cover a surprisingly large area in a few strokes. We decided that this brush is perfect for an occasional cleaning. For a larger or more stubborn job the next step up would be all the way to a pressure washer.

Does not dispense soap, leaks. This thing was only 5.00 but that still is a ripoff being it does not work properly. Don't buy.

I haven't used it yet, but my wife did. She said it worked great, just as she expected it would.
