This is a great little pond to get the beginners feet week. Although once we got started, we ended up upgrading. This is solely due to the fact that when started digging, we got a little more ambitious than expected and needed a bigger liner. The shipping was unbelievably fast and I could not wait to get started. My only advice, stick with the proper dimensions (depth included) and this should suit the beginner well.

This is a great pond kit and is really worth the money; however, it is a little difficult and time consuming to install. I would suggest setting aside three or so hours and have extra help. Would definitely recommend this product.

this kit makes quite a nice small pond. after a little work i have a nice enjoyable senic backyard beauty.

I got really lucky and found this kit on clearance at a store for $50.
Even without the good deal, I think this is a great kit. The pump is more powerful than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised.
The only problem I had was that there was imperfection in the liner and I had a leak. This was largely my own fault for not inspecting the liner before I put it in. I was just so excited to get the pond filled and running I rushed it. I highly recommend checking the liner... for your own sanity. But, a $10 patch kit and an hour of work later I was up and running again. No big deal.

The only thing you will have to buy in addition to this kit is a pump pre-filter. I would never run the pump without one, as you're bound to burn it up in no time if it's clogged with leaves, etc. If you're handy, you can rig one up for about $5 (I did) - or I think you can buy nice box ones on here for about $18.

You got your order shipped quickly because there are SOME very good people in the shipping dept. Even thought their bosses think we're just average workers. :)
