I am reading Dr. Napier's books in a weird order. Revealation first, then Shattered Icon then Nemesis. Nemesis is exceedingly entertaining not to mention very very accurate. From the point of view of both a Sci-fi/Mystery reader as well as a person with a strong science background, it is a perfect book to suck away a week of evenings!!!srl

I like this book, as it is written more as a political thriller than straight science fiction. The premise - that a killer asteroid is on its way, and that the US/Europeans only have a few days to find it before it hits - is blended with standard cold war "the Russians are monsters" stuff. But the tale is well written and the ending is intriguing, if slightly disatisfying.Still, it was good enough to convince me to buy his next book. We'll have to wait and see how that works out. |
