5.0 out of 5 stars If You Love Front 242, You'll Love Nemesis., October 27, 2007
This review is from: Nemesis (Audio CD)
Great CD from Nemesis! Jean Luc fans and those of Front 242 and their style of music won't be dissapointed. I only wish that there were more artists of this caliber and style around. I guess we're an endagered species!

5.0 out of 5 stars Look what they've done to my Glis..., July 15, 2005
This review is from: Nemesis (Audio CD)
It's been a few years since the release of "Extract", a CD that I gave a thumbs down to in an earlier review. Truthfully, I never gave "Balance" a try, I just couldn't get past the terrible vocals that seemed to hang around Glis like some sort of scarlet letter.

So, on a whim I picked up "Nemesis" last week thinking...hmm Glis, well let's give it one more try. You're making a huge mistake if you pass this off as "another" Glis CD.

Shaun (always a great musician) has done the unimaginable. "Nemesis" is beyond merely good, it's fantastic.

Shaun's voice sounds terrific on "Disappear!", "No Pulse" and "October Skies". I can't get those tracks out of my head. All the guest work is top notch, Front 242's Jean-Luc De Meyer is mind blowing on "The Irreparable" and the darkwavish "Le Beatrice". "Redemption" featuring Karloz. M of Manufactura is insanely catchy. "Love I so Despise" is a nod towards Delerium/Conjure One. "This is My Brain" and "Last Call" are standouts too. Shaun even tosses in some super cool power noise on "Desolate" and "Nemesis (Catharsis)".

"Nemesis" is devoid of anything even remotely resembling filler; a strong contender for industrial CD of the year. Well worth every penny (it's an import CD on the German label Alfa Matrix).

Emphatically recommended.
