This review is from: Nemesis (Indigo, Book 1) (Hardcover)
This series is the best thing Ive read in my life. I am so sad it is out of print. I buy a new copy about once every 5 years as the old ones get tattered from use. These books came at a time in my life when life oddly reflected fiction so much that I was able to draw strength from the character. I have had the online handle "IndigoWulf" for over 11 years now, inspired by Louise Cooper. If I ever met her, Id give her a great big hug and say THANK YOU for writing these wonderfull books!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Start to One of the Best Fantasy Series, January 5, 2005
I simply LOVED the book. Sure, the main character is bratty, selfish, one minded, and foolish. But trust me in this....she CHANGES. You won't see the changes in this book, but you WILL as you continue to read the series.

The book is about a Princess who has deep curiousity toward a forbidden Tower of Regrets of whose secret is known only by her father, the King, and would be told to her brother, the heir to the throne, when he ascends to the throne. Just like the back of the book says "In all the World there is but one thing denied her-the secret of the Tower." One day, she commits the foolish and lethal act of opening the single door of the Tower of Regret and releases from it 7 demons of which she is charged with hunting down and destorying. Until these demons are destoryed, Indigdo will not be allowed to die and free her beloved from a hellish nightmare. Only three things aide Indigo in her quest: her immortality, a harp, and a wolf with the gift of human speech.

The story has a good plot, beginning with the back story of the Tower of Regret and the main character's relationship to it.
This book begins the Indigo series nicely introducing the world and the characters. Each book afterward is about how Indigo faces each demon in different ways and in different parts of her world.
And ya gotta love the side kick/best friend, Grimya the she-wolf with the amazing ability to speak the human language and her telepathic link with Indigo. Surprisingly, she's possibly the wisest character in the series.

Don't waste time and get this book now! You WILL NOT regret it.
