Product Description

The extra 6 of length in the tail and additional zippered entry on the side make the Gogo LE Bivy from Nemo a well-vented one-person bivy/tent with inflatable poles that won't break, bend, or weigh down your pack. The extra vestibule space keeps your gear dry, and it's big enough for you to cook in or put on your boots.

I don't particularly enjoy sleeping in this tent as it is a little "moist" as described by the other reviewer (condensation, not rain penetration). But for a night or two, it's fine. Where it really shines is as an "emergency/backup/might as well bring it" tent. I bring this thing with me almost everywhere, since it takes up about as much space as a half loaf of bread, and the weight is comparable. Saved my butt once when it got dark and I was still an hour or two from my vehicle. For hunting, hiking, camping, or really any time I'm going to be a good walk from civilization, it goes with me. Has lasted about 5 years and still works fine. Very well-engineered, and tough.

To the comment about getting dressed in it, I have to say WTF it's a bivy tent, of course it's hard to get dressed in!

Side note, as a standard sized male, there's enough room (apparently) for my 50lb lab to crawl in when she gets cold/it starts to rain. Ask me how I know :D

This shelter sets up quickly, and does a good job of keeping rain out. I have used this tent on several outings in Northern Minnesota. In both dry and wet conditions it collects condensation in the interior (it does not seem to matter if the front and side are open to vent - condensation is inevitable if you are in an environment that is relatively humid like MN or Wisconsin). That said the condensation has not been crippling, in the morning my sleeping bag exterior is moist but I am still dry within in, a few minutes of airing out my bag and it is usually good to go. Nevertheless it is uncomfortable waking up to collected moisture on the tent walls. In other words the tent is not as breathable as I had hoped.

A lot of people complain about the absence of an included "stick" that would prop the tail up. At first I shared this sentiment but having used it in the field, honestly I have never been unable to find a stick in the woods that serves the purpose. If I were in the desert or something I might feel differently, but living where I live...I would probably throw any included stick out to save weight.

It was my first bivy style tent, and I regret purchasing this style tent. When it is not raining out it is no problem, but find yourself waking up cozy and warm while it is pouring cats and dogs outside and it becomes problematic to get dressed inside the tent/bivy. It is possible but not easy.

Weight...ya...they advertise that the tent weighs 2.2lbs which is decent, but in reality this does not include the weight of the stuff sack or the tent stakes. Since I have purchased this I have found many other lighter & roomier options.

For all the negatives the tent does set up very fast, and easy and because it is a bivy style it can go almost anywhere.

The airbeam is a novelty item. A nice fiberglass pole would suffice really. After biking all the day long, last thing I want to do is blow my brains out in to the pump.
