4.0 out of 5 stars human cannonball
I bought this item to wear water skiing in the early and late season to cover my bald head and keep me from getting freeze brain
it fits fine , but the strap is WAY too long and when underwater doing a barefoot start my ears get full of water and the cap keeps the water in........
which I found very unpleasant so I punched a 1/4" hole on each side in line...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Cap
Well, the only problem is to lock the chin strap as the flat lock is too long than required, so I use my wet suite back strap to lock the cap, other than that, the cap is really good and comfort and fit the head very good

3.0 out of 5 stars cap revciew, December 20, 2010

The item is ok. It'd be great IF: the strap were shorter and you could velcro it where it fits and on mine, there is one area on the top side of the cap that buckles. It works well but if it 'fit' it would be great.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good cap, bad strap, September 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This cap is made of nice neoprene that doesn't grab or pull on your hair. It comes in several sizes so you can get a good fit. My only complaint is the chip strap. It is much too long so in order to make the cap fit securely you have to attach it beyong where the velcro is. Then the exposed velcro can scratch you while you swim. I think I'll just cut mine shorter and resew it, but that is something to consider if you don't have sewing knack.

3.0 out of 5 stars Well made! Minimal Protection. Chin Strap Has Limited Adjustment!, March 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: NeoSport Wetsuits Premium Neoprene 2.5mm Sport Cap (Apparel)
This cap appears to be well made. It's only 2.5mm neoprene, so don't expect the same cold water protection you'd get from 3mm. Like another reviewer commented, it doesn't cover the brow/forehead area very well and just barely covers the ears. However, if you're looking for minimal protection with very little restricted movment this might be a good choice for you. Also, be forewarned, the chin strap cannot be adjusted very tightly. It has a nice plastic buckle, strap, and plenty of velcro, but the velcro is not placed very well. Some users may not be able to adjust the chin strap as tight as they would like.

4.0 out of 5 stars pretty good, March 10, 2011

This review is from: NeoSport Wetsuits Premium Neoprene 2.5mm Sport Cap (Apparel)
I'm satisfied with it, not having the strap issues that the others reported. It's 2.5 mm so may not be ideal for extremely cold water. Having said that, I use it in 54-56 deg F (13C) water. The biggest challenge I have is that, at that temperature, my forehead/brows get really really cold and painful. Those areas are not covered by the cap. It takes up to 6-8 laps to get used to that temperature, even then, it is still very uncomfortable. I think the only way around that is to get a full hood but that limits your motion, which this cap does not.

My recommendation = buy

Unless other reviewers I never had a problem with the strap. It is just the right lenghtand holds well. I used it on my second dives in 78 degrees F water and it was a lifesaver.
