4.0 out of 5 stars Loses 1 Star For Incomplete UV protection
I own several of these skins. I'm a 5'4" female and weigh 130. I bought a small. My only complaint is I noticed on the colored area of the sleeves, the UV protection is not as good as the black area and I now have a funny half tan arm. I will purchase the all black in the future and hope that it will protect fully. It took me 50 1 mile swims before it felt too...

1.0 out of 5 stars NOTrecommended
Lasted only 5 dives & developed holes/tear (in rather uncomfortable places). I have worn this under a wetsuit & never dived with this skin exposed.

It is very difficult to get in - although it is comfortable after you manage to get in.

I do not recommend this skin at all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loses 1 Star For Incomplete UV protection, June 22, 2010

I own several of these skins. I'm a 5'4" female and weigh 130. I bought a small. My only complaint is I noticed on the colored area of the sleeves, the UV protection is not as good as the black area and I now have a funny half tan arm. I will purchase the all black in the future and hope that it will protect fully. It took me 50 1 mile swims before it felt too stretched out to wear any longer.

UPDATE AS OF APRIL 2011: The sizing has changed. I've used size small for over a year now and the new sizing is much smaller. I had to send back all 4 smalls I ordered and I re-ordered mediums. Those were also smaller than previous mediums I'd had but I'll stick with that size for now. I've talked to some suppliers and they have had complaints about this. So my recommendation is to buy 1 to 2 sizes larger than you normally would. Also, using the ALL-BLACK did indeed fully protect the UV rays and I no longer have a half tan on my arms.

UPDATE AS OF JUNE 2011: I spoke to a representative at Henderson, the manufacturer of these sport skins. He told me there had been errors in the recent production of the suits but they had caught it and were now going back to the original sizing. The only question that remains now is how long before the bad batch runs out and the new batch shows up for purchase at Amazon. Good Luck Everyone!

UPDATE AS OF SEPTEMBER 2011: After getting the runaround from different representatives at Henderson, one saying the sizing had changed and another saying it hadn't, I decided I would just continue to order size Medium. They still fit much smaller than the original Smalls and I will stick with this size unless I notice a change. I think it's fantastic when the new reviewers state their height, weight, size bought and how it fits. This will give us all a real time size chart. Also, to those looking for a wetsuit, this isn't it. This is a full body UV rashguard and/or a base layer under a real wetsuit. And one last comment. Even though both the original and the newer models state the same fabric content, the originals have slightly more give to them which adds to the comfort level. Also, the originals say they were made in Taiwan and the new ones say China. So if anyone from Henderson is reading this, go back to the manufacturing specs you had in Taiwan. Off to the pool...

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as uncomfortable as I thought, June 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am 5'10" and 140 lbs, and purchased the L size wetsuit. It is a good fit and is not as uncomfortable as I thought it would be. The crotch was riding a bit low, but with some stretching and moving the material around, you can get a good fit. It served it's purpose in Cabo for snorkeling. It might keep you a few degrees warmer in the water, but take it off when you get out - having the wet material on your skin gives you quite a chill even on the hottest day.

4.0 out of 5 stars sizing comment, July 11, 2011
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These suits are light and thin, and fit fairly well and comfortably. A comment about the sizing though, as a few reviews mentioned that these tend to fit small. To be safe we ordered 2 sizes, medium and large for myself, and x-small and small for my girlfriend. I normally wear medium but for this suit, I fit large, my girlfriend who normally wears x-small, fits small.

5.0 out of 5 stars choose one or two sizes larger than the size chart, May 19, 2011

The purpose of this skin is not to keep one warm, but to protect against sunburn and minor abrasions. It is also great under a wetsuit.

I am male, 145 lbs / 5'9" / 30" waist. Sizing chart recommended small, however medium was perfect in width, but still a bit short in body (crotch to shoulders), and narrow in the shouulders. Felt comfortable under a 5mm full wetsuit while diving. It felt good to take off the wetsuit after, or between dives and be dry in a couple of minutes.

Update: After a two-month usage and 20 dives still perfect. I wore it without an additional wetsuit most of the time, because of the high water temperature during the summer. A It is also great for swimming or snorkeling, due to the UV protection. And, it protects against jelly fish stings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Laker swimmer, August 7, 2011

This full body skin is great for swimming in the lake. It's light weight, while providing coverage. I do tris and have a lake that I swim in sometimes for practice. The lake is pretty good, but sometmes has some "gunk" so I feel better having my body covered. The skin is high quality and a great price. I plan on ordering another one. I'm female, 5'4", 111 lbs and ordered a Small, which fits perfect. However, if I gain a little weight, I think I'd be a Medium. Definitely recommend.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice price, not enough stretch, August 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This suit is polyester and lycra. I think adding a lot of spandex would help. I am 5'4" 105 lbs. I usually wear an xxs in clothes. A 00 in dresses. So I was thinking the small might be a little big. I could not even zip my suit. It has some stretch top to bottom, hardly any side to side. It might fit a 10 yr old. If it had more stretch it could work, but I guess that is why the price was so good. Will be returning and looking for something with more stretch.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Suit But buy 2 sizes larger, August 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Just got wet suit, have not tried it in water yet. I am 5 7 and 134 lbs and wear a small in mens shirts and sometimes extra small, 29-30 in pants and small in hats. Got a size medium my actual size according to size chart is small. I took advise from other reviewers and got a size larger (medium) but i must say this is way to small. I thought it was going to tear when putting it on. I wished I got a large. Based on wearing it there is no space for a belly so i suggest doing some sit ups before trying it on. Other than snug feeling. I love suit it is very sexy and accents all my muscles and will work great for sunblock and althought fabric is thin, I dont feel naked but would not wear it without a pants. It fits perfectly with my height. Hopefully it will stretch in time.

Other reviewers are correct -- order one size larger than you normally would. Suit makes donning wet suit a whole lot easier and protects from sunburn while you are in the boat coming and going to and from a dive site. Looks good, too.
