Pretty good lights for the price. I wanted some ambient lighting in my bedroom, and decided to go with some cheap blue rope lights to start (these). The color is quite nice, it came with some mounts, and you can't beat the low wattage LEDs... they're cool to the touch, and you can leave them on all the time without impacting your energy bill. Because of the thick-ish casing, though, don't count on these being the brightest. I was originally thinking of putting them behind a dresser or bed for a non-directional glow sort of effect, but they're just a bit too dim for that. As long as you're ok with seeing the actual rope light wherever you put it, I recommend these. Otherwise, you might be better off going with white ones or some other type of light.

The blue lights are a nice deep blue. The red lights are more orange than red and much brighter than the blue. Both good but they don't go together. Seems very durable.

Was looking for an inexpensive rope light and I guess I went too inexpensive. Out of the box, there was section of lights that are intermittent. Be aware yours might be bad out of the box too.

Found the light output to be too low. Ordered a similarly priced rope light that uses blue LEDs instead, which delivered a richer, brighter lighting effect. If you're not looking to use the rope for effect lighting and just need it for direct-view party decoration, I guess it'll serve.

The lights work well, no problems there. The only thing that could be better is if they were a bit brighter. Compared to my roommate's green lights of the same brand, they are very dim. Also, since they are incandescent, they do heat up a bit, warm to the touch. Overall, good for the money.

I was so happy to get these lights, because a string I had had for about 4 years finally burned out on me. I put them up, and within a week and a half a portion of these lights had already burned out! It was very disappointing, and because the boxes were thrown away I was unable to return them. Very disappointed, as it seemed that since they were a little pricey that they were very cheaply made. :-(

These rope lights are GREAT! They accentuate the home for Christmas. We use them on the patio in the summer. They're great all year long!!!
