From a great series and great movie, comes a great CD., July 4, 1998
This review is from: Neon Genesis Evangelion - Death (Audio CD)
Let's see. Some Bach, a bit of Mozart, a few violins, and some unique Eva music. Nice CD that grows on you. Sad, too if you have seen the show of the movie.

Beautiful Music for the Best Anime Ever!!!, June 22, 2004
This review is from: Neon Genesis Evangelion - Death (Audio CD)
This soundtrack is in my opinion the best of all the Eva soundtracks.
I really love the several classical musical scores of Bach, DVORAK and Pachelbel which include: Gavotte in Rondo, Vorspier, and Kanon(two 5 minute versions).
The last track, Dies Irae, is a lengthy opera track(almost 40 mins), I don't believe it is in the series or the movies.
Shiro Sagisu's original tracks are also very well done. Again, these are classical tracks. The total cd time is close to 70 minutes.
I also highly recommend getting the End of Evangelion soundtrack and the Evangelion: Addition soundtrack.
Addition has a 20 minute Ode to Joy track, and a 20 minute vocal track that consists of the Japanese cast of Eva(I can't understand it, but it is very funny. think they may be acting out an episode or something). It also has about 11 other tracks. You can get this and almost every other anime soundtrack, Eva or not, for some very cheap prices at: gkworld.zoovy.com
All of these cds are great for both classical music lovers and Eva enthusiasts.

A Beautiful Death, July 23, 2000
This review is from: Neon Genesis Evangelion - Death (Audio CD)
Quite possibly one of the most beautiful anime of for that matter, one of the most beautiful music collections of all time. From songs included in the Evangelion shows and movies, to new crafts this is a great deal. Most songs are instrumental only, however the few that do have vocals are in a great opera-like setting. This is a must have for any fan of the show or of clasical music.
