I bought one of these to try out and liked it enough to buy a second set. The construction of the plastic housing and connections seem very durable.

I subtracted one star because I sometimes notice a strobe or flicker effect. I assume it is caused by the LEDs being connected directly to the AC current (no transformer is used) so they pulse time with the current (60Hz). However, the flickering is not noticeable while looking directly at them or when viewed from a distance. I personally only see it at around 4-10 feet away and when some kind of motion is involved (like turning my head).

On my sets, the plug-in to the wall also sticks out about twice as far as I typically see. A 90 degree bend adapter that redirects the plug to be flush with the wall fixed the problem.

I bought 2 one of them is still working perfect (its been on all night most nights) the other one half of the lights no longer light up.
