The Neoplatonist philosophers who flourished between the third and sixth centuries AD had a profound influence on western philosophy, on both Christian and Islamic literature and the visual arts from the Renaissance to modern times. About the Author
John Gregory was a Senior Lecturer of Classics at New College, UK. He is now a freelance author and translator, whose translations include The Illustrated Bede (Revised Edition 1996) and The Illustrated Life of Columba (Revised Edition 1995).
