This thing has changed my life
I won't leave home without my PRS-500...EVER, with either of these covers. The more I use it, the more uses I find for it. I put technical manuals on it. I keep all of my creative writing manuscripts on it. I have my library on it...literally! The main thing I struggled with initially was finding a font size and type that worked for me. Once I discovered that Word...

Sony Reader Too Slow
While this product is the case for the Sony Reader, just wanted to head off anyone considering the Reader itself. The time it takes to go from one page to another is way too long and will drive you crazy. And be sure not to buy it from the Sony Style online store, as their return police is horribel and intractable.

This review is from: Neoprene Action Case for Sony Reader PRS500
I won't leave home without my PRS-500...EVER, with either of these covers. The more I use it, the more uses I find for it. I put technical manuals on it. I keep all of my creative writing manuscripts on it. I have my library on it...literally! The main thing I struggled with initially was finding a font size and type that worked for me. Once I discovered that Word Hyperlinks are preserved in Adobe Acrobat-generated PDF files, that has allowed me to render fully articulated electronic books, which allows the user to navigate with speed, ease and effectiveness. Another thing that stymied me for a bit was that I needed to configure Adobe Acrobat to render Acrobat 4.0 (instead of 8.0) Pdf files, otherwise the PRS-500 won't be able to view the Pdf file. I am in the process of breaking about my entire library and extracting the text for use in this reader. I no longer have to make that difficult decision of which books to carry with me on a trip. The answer is simple: all of them! 9ozs for the weight of my library now sure beats the multiple pounds that a single, physical book can weigh. This device has convinced me that I don't want to read another physical, tree-killing book again. I currently have 200 books on my 4gb memory card and I am only using a quarter of the available space.

Great Invention, April 14, 2007

I agree. This saves tons of space, and is uber convenient to have your books with you whenever you have "down" time (waiting room, long lines, poolside) without having to haul a bunch of them around.
