Product Description

Finally, mandolin and ukulele players can customize a strap to exactly fit their needs while benefitting from the weight reduction comfort of NEOTECH straps. It can even be used on small guitars! It’s easy to attach and holds your instrument securely. The strap comes with several options for customizing the length as well as the method of attachment. Both sides of the strap have extension pieces which can be adjusted or quickly removed with quick release buckles if needed in order to get the shoulder pad positioned perfectly. Each extension piece can add 5.75" - 8.75" (14,6 - 22,2 cm) to the strap. While the back of the strap offers a quick-release leather tab for use with a strap pin, the front side offers two choices of attachment hardware also with a quick-release buckle. It offers a loop attachment with a triglide buckle to secure around either the headstock or the scroll of an F-Style mandolin as well as a top-grade leather attachment for instruments with a strap pin. The modular system makes this the most versatile and comfortable strap on the market. With the MANDOLIN/UKULELE CONNECTOR kit you can keep a set of connectors on a second instrument to make switching from one to another faster and easier than ever!

This strap does its job and is comfortable.

The headstock end of the strap was a bit more difficult than anticipated, but I figured it out.

Like I said it's a great strap and works very well for my mandolin.

First of all let me clarify that I love this strap I got for my mandolin and I would recommend it for your mandolin or Ukulele. It fits comfortably around the shoulder and works exactly as it was designed to do. My only problem with this product is with Amazon and not with the strap itself.

If you look at the product as advertised on Amazon it shows that the strap comes with 6 pieces total - the main strap, 2 strap pin tabs, 2 extension pieces and a loop connector. All these parts are listed in the product description as well. However if you buy this strap for $25 or less (if you're a Prime member) then you do NOT get all the parts for the strap as advertised. You will only receive the main strap, 1 strap pin tab and the loop connector. This product as offered on Amazon is the original strap and not the new and improved model that has the extra pieces as advertised. The new model with the extras actually costs $29.99 regular price and not $25. I had to call Neotech and they were kind enough to send me the extra pieces free of charge which I should get in about a week.

Like I said it's a great strap and works very well for my mandolin. The extra pieces will help to make wearing it more versatile depending on what instrument you use it for. My advice to you is if you want to buy this strap make sure first what you are getting or not getting for the price you pay. This is the only reason why I'm giving the strap 4 out of 5 stars. I'll be talking to Amazon next to update and correct their advertising.

The Neotech Mandolin Strap is excellent. It attaches easily and the disconnect options (top and bottom) provide for flexibility in placing the instrument away in the case. I bought 3. 1 for me, 2 for my students. My only complaint was my petite female student could not shorten the upper adjustment enough to actually have the padded portion hit her shoulder. Neotech might want to adjust the distribution between top and bottom length.

I purchased this strap for a Tenor Ukulele and it fulfills the role quite nicely. The fact that you can unclip the strap while leaving the clips attached to the body of the instrument is great. Nice product.

I agree with the other reviewers; I like the quick disconnects. If you don't want to go old-school (leather laces, yarn, etc.), this is a good strap.

My son plays my A style mandolin. The strap we were using would not stay adjusted, allowing the mandolin to slide lower as he played; not a good thing for on stage. We purchased the Neotech Mandolin Strap. Though it was pricier than some mandolin straps, I bought it anyway. The strap is sturdier than the old strap we were using and the adjustment doesn't slip. It was easy to fasten to our A style mandolin & will work with an F style as well. However, there are 2 things that don't quite suit me. The strap should be able to be adjusted to a smaller size; my son is 12 years old and the mandolin hangs a bit low for him. He is adapting to this position and I'm sure he will soon grow taller, so after awhile this won't be a problem. The other thing is: the strap slipped off the rear strap button several times as my son was attempting to swing the strap up around his head to put on the mandolin. The quick release clips may take care of that problem, but they are not that handy to use while trying to strap the mandolin on. We may try to use a strap-lock to remedy that issue.

It's supposed to be for mandolin or uke. I bought one for my soprano uke and one for my tenor uke. I had them as tight as they would go but the ukes still hung down too far. Too bad. Otherwise it's a very comfortable and well-designed strap. I have to return my two.

I recently received my 2nd strap from Amazon. I have one that is attached to my The Loar 400 A style mandolin and the other attached to my Kala uke bass. (Barritone uke sized Bass instrument) The endpin strap peices needed to widened a little bit as the endpin cable inputs are larger then a normal strap button but they are secure now. I love the clips for the neck and for endpin so you can easily connect the strap when needed and when not the end peices don't get in the way of playing. The padding on the strap is nice and although the clip attachments aren't heavy duty they will be strong enough unless you abuse them as this strap is only meant for small lighter instruments.

Exactly what I needed, comfortable stretchy and great quality! I was a little concerned about how I'd get it on my mandolin without removing the strings, on the loop end, slide back the plastic adjustment buckle as far as it will go, then slide the loop under the strings to the other side, then pull the whole strap through the loop and then attach the other end to the bottom button, easy!
