John G. Robinson is director of Wildlife Conservation International, the research arm of the New York Zoological Society. Kent H. Redford is assistant professor in the Center for Latin American Studies and the Department of Wildlife and Range Sciences, and director of the Program for Studies in Tropical Conservation, at the University of Florida.
