I remember playing capture the flag at camp when I was young. This is a lot cooler than a flag! This is a light and sound beacon that includes multiple games you can play. You can play both inside the house and outside. My kids play in the woods outside a lot. I would recommend getting extra darts with this because we seem to be losing them pretty easily. My kids also use the "flag" (light beacon) with their Nerf Lazertag system. They play non stop it seems. Great exercise!

My 5 and 8 year old boys love this set. Be sure to wear the glasses and beware the velcro on the end of some darts can hurt when shot at close range. But otherwise, cool toy!

My son was so happy to get this from Santa this year and as soon as we had the box open he and my brother (who is 26, even the big kids love it) started having the coolest Nerf battle, lots of laughs and a lot of great fun! My son and my nephew love Nerf and they've been having a great time with this toy. As someone else said, you should buy more darts because it only comes with 6, but for a starter pack it's a great deal. The darts do have an impact when shot at close range but when kids are having this much fun they don't even notice (but Mommy sure felt it!). The darts stick really really well, even from 20 feet across the room. I highly suggest this product if your child loves playing outdoors and running around. Much better than sitting around playing video games!

My nine year old son got this for Christmas. The amazon price was the best around and the free shipping was even better. This has become a toy for the whole family--even Mom & Dad. The guns shoot fast and far and stick to the vests or fleece like material. The flag adds another game option but my son and his friends don't use it often. I feel though, the older he gets the more patience he and his friends will have for a more organized game. Older cousins who came around the holiday (high school/college aged) say how much they love playing with these Nerf guns too. It's good exercise during the cold winter months.
My only suggestion is that they should also sell, within this kit, a belt with a dart holder to make it easier to load.
Get it, have fun, but be prepared to pick up lots of darts. My son knows the rule is to pick up all the darts after use--they will be all over the house. He does it without complaint b/c he knows how much fun he had.

Great gun shoots about 30 feet price should be $30 also they give you 3 green darts and 3 orange dart but the guns can hold 5 every things great except for that.

I got this for my grandsons for Christmas; they are 5 and 9. They really enjoyed it and were able to make up other games to use it. It was good that it included safety glasses. I'm not sure they were really needed for Nerf toys but the boys liked them and their parents felt better about them "shooting" at each other. Even though there is a size difference the equipment fit both boys and it was good to have something they could play together. It's now mid February and it's still not broken so that is another big plus, as these boys are tough on their toys. I am really glad that I got it, it was a great investment.

I got this as a gift for my 13 year old nephew. He and his brother had a blast with it. Make sure and wear the saftey glasses provided, because the darts do fire pretty hard and it is possible to get an eye injury.

We wanted a toy that keeps us moving, but was also fairly safe. My son, husband & I all enjoy playing with the nerf guns & the safety glasses are a great addition.

This was a lot of fun when playing with my nephew. The only problem is that the darts are very easy to lose. Plan on buying some extras.

My youngest daughter, age 11, received this set for Christmas. She has not been able to use it because her older sisters, ages 26 & 22, keep borrowing it. I may have to order another set for them!
