5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Fun Fun
Highly enjoyable. Darts shoot great. Great team battles. Easy to use. Only two cons: the vests aren't designed for bigger people (myself), but are still usable, and they take a little longer to reload-imagine trying to reload a 10 shot maverick where the chambers don't come out-though it isn't too much of a problem. If you like team battles, or two player matches, this...

Got this set of nerf dart guns to help bring my 7 year old grandson a game that would require some physical and mental exercise. It did that and more to him, his dad (my oldest son) and me as we ran, laughed and just had a superb time together in the house with no harm to anyone nor the house. The darts are real safe if you use the safety glasses enclosed with the set. If the glasses aren't on then we did not play.

I liked the set so well I got my 9 year old grandson a set for his birthday and had the same reaction with him and his dad (my youngest son). Just a bunch of fun and interaction and a whole lot of laughing.

If you set good ground rules this is a lot of fun. The toy itself works very good, the darts will shoot easily 20-25 feet acurately. We bought more darts and had them in a central location where anyone could grab for a reload.

Target practice is fun also, just set the targets (provided) across the room from each other and play like you play horseshoes or use one trget for a game of darts.

For the life of me I could never understand why you had to arm the blasters on the top except it was the most convenient design. Playing Dart tag this became bothersome. Now with shotgun style arming you can pop off all ten darts comfortably and quickly.

You won't have to drag your kids away from the computer or TV with a fun, action toy like this.

I'm not a big fan of guns, but this is pure fun -- and the physical activity out in the fresh air is worth the modest price.

Highly recommended fun game!

4.0 out of 5 stars A decent Nerf set, May 15, 2011
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars

The FuryFire Nerf Dart Tag Set is overall a decent deal. You can have a lot of fun with these. I will break this review into sections.

The Guns
You can place 10 darts at a time with these, which makes them good if you don't want to reload all the time. However, they take a really long time to reload as you do need load 10 darts. The range is pretty bad, but that is standard with Nerf products. The 10 darts can be fired pretty quickly, although they do get jammed once in a while. They are very plasticy and odd-shaped however.

The Vests
They are smaller than I thought they would be, although they work with the velcro better than I thought they would.

The Glasses
I can not tell you how many times I have been hit with a dart to the eye. The glasses are a nice touch. Although, they are fairly low quality, they do the trick in blocking darts to the eye.

The Darts
Long, light, foam, and velcro. Very standard. Be careful with these as they do get lost and scattered around, and getting new darts isn't cheap.

For older kids, consider the more high quality (and priced) Airsoft Guns. They sting a lot more, but they don't really hurt. They usually fire far, way faster abd farther than NERF.

The dart tag furyfire is an awesome gun. It works very well, and is much easier to use and more accurate than the hyperfire. The vests are kind of small, but it is a great product other than that.

The guns are great! I wish they had more chambers for the darts. You go through the darts quickly during battles. The vest fits my 4 year old son. My husband not so much. I like that it came with safety glasses. The safety glasses fit my 6 year and 4 year old. I don't have to worry about them hitting each other in the eyes. It's great fun for the whole family!

The Nerf furyfires are very good blasters. They are accurate, hold ten darts, and can be primed and fired quickly and easily, due to the new location of the cocking mechanism. It has good range for indoor Nerf wars, around the range of the hyperfire, which is its predecessor; the two are similar, although the cocking mechanism of the furyfire makes it vastly superior. Overall I think that this is a great set and that it is a very good buy.

My 11 and 7 year old have really enjoyed this toy. It is loads of fun but keeping up with the darts can be a pain, and if hit at close range it hurts a little. You must also ensure they wear the safety goggles that come with the toy as my son has shot himself in the eye accidentally.
