Man all I can say is that this is the coolest toy sword I have ever gotten. It is so much fun to sword fight with my freinds. it is very durable and is soft so it won't break or hert. great toy.

Surprisingly durable. Hurts enough that you don't want to get hit, but not enough to cause a bruise. After a month of hard use from teen & pre-teen boys, they're holding up. Highly recommend.

Regrettably, an itchy Christmas "Buy Now" trigger finger caused me to inadvertently purchase from a non-Amazon source (Target) which added on shipping and handling fees that tripled the price of the product.

The new Nerf Swords are very sturdy and will provide hours of fun! my son was/is extremely happy with this gift and every weekend we have a sword battle. The swords can hurt a bit if you get hit in the hand or sensitive area but that makes the battles more authentistic! Great fun

This is a great sword. I got it and the other nerf short sword. And have done a lot of dueling with them. It has held up vary well for the main part. I don't use this sword in nerf battles but I use it for dueling one on one. The only thing that has been a problem is that the handle guards have fallen off. But that does not affect the actual sword. Over all I think that this is one of the greatest (and cheapest) swords you can buy that will actually hold up and take some beating. One other nice thing is that it does not heart at all if you get hit. Unless you are really hitting hard with it, (like I sometimes do) then it only stings a tad. I would recommend this sword to anybody who just wants to get out and have some good fighting.

The NERF N-Force swords are the best play swords you'll find in the toy aisle. They have a futuristic look and a solid feel. The Thunder and Shadow swords are smaller, lighter and better suited for younger kids. For older kids and kids-at-heart I suggest the Marauder Long Sword, the Warlock Battle Axe and/or the Battlemaster Mace... they have alot more heft and feel less toy-like.

like a katana. this sword is awesome. i have a yellow one and my little sister uses the blue one she loves it.

We bought this for our Nerf-crazed 9-year-old nephew for Christmas, and he loved it! I was a little frustrated when we found the same item in a local store for about half-price, but even so, it was worth it for the smiles on his face. The edges of the foam are a little bit rough, but overall it looks good, and serves its purpose!

my seven year old is really into the whole fantasy/superhero thing right now and this toy is super safe and durable. I like the fact that my son is very aggressive with the use of this toy and it holds up extremely well. Nerf really knows how to make them.

i got this awesome sword a long time ago and it broke because i fight to hard but it is very swift and light and the perfect weapon to take into a fast battle. i will review other of these weapons of n-force so watch for me. this is light and pretty long. it does have a hard plastic tube running up the middle and it stings a little and if to hard it may hurt but just go into battle withe a wise apponent. the price has dropped so i would get one if i were you. thats what im going to do soon. so in conclusion it was awesome for the first creation and i would defenetly fight with it.

i got the shield, the vendetta and the battle mace and just picked this up the other day and i gotta say this one is the least durable of the items i own. but its still worth it just be carefull not to get too crazy with this sword
