3.0 out of 5 stars Nerf a Blast, but for the kiddos! November 3, 2008
Color Name:Yellow
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
My boys, ages 5 and 6, desperately wanted this game. We have Nerf Wars at home all the time, and they were originally thinking you shot nerf darts at the tv as part of the game. We purchased the game, and they have played it for quite some time. As for the gameplay, there are boy friendly graphics and sounds. The voices that speak to you are futuristically robotic, but they do provide directions which is nice since the boys can't read them yet. You unlock Nerf weapons along the way as you score points. Each weapon shoots differently: think firing speed, power, and accuracy. There are a ton of guns to earn, and we don't have all of them yet. If you have problems passing one of the game levels, you can go back to choose a different weapon and try again. Maybe you need more firing power or better aim. There are portions where you have to shoot at only certain colored robots and miss the others, as well as a portion that resembles Boom Blox as you topple towers of blocks with your shots. Most of the time we play games as family. This one bored my husband and I pretty quickly, but the boys are still really enjoying it. I was hoping for a little more from it, especially after all the hype and coming from such a big name like Nerf. In conclusion, not a bad game, but not a house favorite.

UPDATE: Many people have commented the guns are now available for individual purchase. Yeah! Good to know. Thanks!

4.0 out of 5 stars 5 year old and Daddy love it December 13, 2008

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
We bought this for my son's 5th birthday. From the moment he opened this he was ready to play. B.O.B. the robot helper tells you everything from a brief gun description to what to do on each level, this really helps since my son cannot read just yet. My husband took over for a bit and had a blast. The gun adapter really adds to the fun and you just pull the trigger like you are really shooting, which is nice. We are going out tomorrow to pick up another gun so father and son can play together. This is a must for any boy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Boys - 8 & 9 December 28, 2008
Color Name:Yellow
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
Received as a Christmas gift, the boys, 8 and 9, love the game. (we were able to purchase a separate gun for around $15 at Best Buy) As for Adults, not so much fun, definately a shooting gallery game, but as a mom, it's great on the non violence aspect. I think it is worth the money, the gun remote is a plus for the boys.

3.0 out of 5 stars not worth the money December 30, 2008
By Liz
Color Name:Yellow
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game for my 3 boys ages 6, 7 and 9. They play with nerf guns all the time and I thought they would really enjoy this game. I usually wouldn't dare shell out $60 for a game b/c they play outside most of the time anyway. The boys really enjoyed the game play...but only held them for about 45 minutes. I guess when I pay this much for a game, I expect them to be fighting over it (they all played single player first to get used to it before playing in multiplayer mode). They didn't fight over it at all..matter of fact they all just went and got their new nerf guns and had a nerf war instead. For the record, they all said they liked the game and it was fun, they just preferred a real nerf war instead. As a mom, I give it an A++ for non-violence since there is no bloodshed (they shoot at robots and boxes), just simply not worth the $60.

4.0 out of 5 stars Shooting Fun! March 1, 2009
By Peach
Color Name:Yellow|Amazon Verified Purchase
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
The premise of this game is to go through different kinds of shooting games and beat the top score of your "competitor" to reach the next level. At each level you do the same thing again, except that it gets harder and harder, and the one new thing that happens is that you "unlock" new nerf weapons along the way.

On the whole, it's a lot of fun to shoot at the targets (which are all robots), and as far as shooting games are concerned, it's as family-oriented as it gets. You can play to increase your character level or play in competition against other players to see who can get a better score.

While my kids really like this game (as do I), it's the type of game where you play it a lot for a while, but then have put it down in favor of something else for a while. Then, once the repetitiveness doesn't have you turned off anymore, you're ready to play it non-stop again for several days or maybe weeks. In the long run, you never really get tired of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nerf-N-Strike Bundle for Wii January 21, 2009
Color Name:Yellow
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I purchased this game for my 10 year old grandson for Christmas. It was such a hit that very soon after opening the gift, the siblings and cousins ages 12-21 were waiting for their turn to play. They also had a great time playing with the gun and darts even without the Wii. Great purchase for any age.

I purchased the Nerf bundle for our 12 yr old son for Christmas. Both he and my husband LOVE this game. They have so much fun! The gun is also fun to use on its own - shooting the darts.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nerf-N-Strike Bundle Wii January 18, 2009
By Fishkid
Color Name:Yellow
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This Nerf game is fun to play on your own or with another person for a competitive edge. The Wii remote fits easily into the gun and the gun is also fun on its own and comes with a couple of foam bullets. It has been a fun game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Gun, Average Game
The gun coming with the package is very good. Still the game is not quite fun. I used the gun with other games, e.g. Resident Evil, the House of the dead, It works perfectly.
