Range- 45 to 60+, it slightly increases in slam fire
Rate of Fire- varies for each person, 2 1/2 to 4 per second is average in slam fire
Weight- it is surprisingly light
Capacity- it holds 26 darts (but comes with 25)
Reloading- fast with multiple clips
Locations for accessories- has 2 tactical rails, a stock attachment, and compatible with the 35 dart drum
Accuracy- good in single shot mode
Assembly- easy to assemble
Reloading- it takes forever to fully reload the drum
Weight- it is very unbalanced
Ammo- it only works well with elite guns, and isn't sold separately yet
Jamming- if reloaded improperly, it will make a HUGE jam*
Overall, this gun is my favorite gun, despite some of it's nasty flaws. This is a high power high fun gun, and I would recommend it to any Nerf fan.
*The slam fire handle will be stuck in a forward position, making it hard to clear the jam or remove the drum. But if you press the drum release button and yank out the drum, the handle will slide back, so you can clear the jam.
The 75 foot range claimed on the box is what the blaster can achieve if you arc the shot. More often it would be like 70 or so. Shooting flat, you'll get about 55 ft most of the time. Thing is, that's such a marked improvement over the old blasters that I still give it high marks especially since it's fairly accurate at those ranges.
The reason for the power is that the internals are now a direct plunger system. Direct plunger means it's like a conventional syringe. After the famous longshot came out, everyone started modifying its direct plunger system so the blaster could get more than 100ft ranges. Until this year, almost ever blaster they came out with since had a reverse plunger system where the plunger was like a cap. Its the structural inverse of a syringe. The Elite blasters are a return to the syringe direct plunger, which is great, but many people have tried to modify them with limited improved results.
The Rampage's internals are very simple and have fewer parts than the Raider did, which is great. It's less of a hassle if you want to take one apart.
The nice thing about the direct plunger system is you can increase the spring tension without risking internal destruction, as demonstrated by Griffinmods on youtube. An SG Nerf commenter on facebook reported that you will want to reinforce the internal mounts for the operating parts, on the inside of the shell however if you do that.Read more ›
My son and I have amassed a rather large Nerf arsenal over the past five years: A couple of RapidFires, a few Mavericks, a pair of NiteFinders, a LongShot, and a Vulcan. They have been great fun around the house, but I found that they were all unfit for service in the workplace theater due to years of wear and tear.
Besides, there are already enough Mavericks at the office. How about starting a little arms race?
After some research, I settled on the new Rampage blaster as my weapon of choice and picked one up at a local retailer.
The Rampage is not without its warts: The drum magazine is a bit unwieldy and makes the blaster unbalanced. It takes quite a long time to load. It's not particularly easy to conceal given the protruding drum. But it's a substantial improvement over the previous generation blasters. When the fight is on, this is the weapon you want.
It provides a near-ideal balance between rate of fire, distance, accuracy, and capacity. You can snipe an unsuspecting co-worker from across the room or single-handedly overwhelm a group of attackers with an impressive volume of fire in close quarters. And it seems quite reliable, with no jams after hundreds of rounds fired.
Now if I only had another couple hundred darts...
(I bought extra darts, and yes! I would recommend that you buy extra darts.)
•Long distance shooting
•Precision is good
•Reloading time is to long
Although with the N-Strike Rampage Blaster Elite I have never had a jamming situation resulting in the darts being torn apart, so I recommend this gun for any type of mission especially if you're a Nerf collector.😎

This was a terrible toy. It was so hard to operate and pull the levers. I had a hard time doing it myself. It was not worth the price and I'll be returning it.Published 12 days ago by Cynthia Klucharich

Gun seems well made. Rugged and durable. Darts fire hard and fast. Slam-fire works nice and quick. Would not recommend for a child that can't pump quickly though. Read morePublished 1 month ago by FlynHokie
