Customer Reviews

Very sturdy and well made.

The integrated laser light is a neat touch, as is the triggering switch, located just below the firing trigger.

Also the size of this gun makes it in my opinion the best Nerf war side arm blaster.

Once again Nerf has released an improved "elite" blaster. This thing doesn't quite get 75ft, but it does shoot far. Maybe 75ft outside with a high arc. But you aren't going to play with it like that.

That being said, the direct plunger does improve distances over the previous version. The blaster is also smaller than the previous version (nightfinder I do believe).

It does take batteries to operate the laser, but you don't need batteries to operate the blaster.

Usually Nerf blasters are more expensive on Amazon, but this one is the same price as in the stores and this one has Prime shipping. So a great buy here if you can wait a day or two, or if your local store doesn't have this particular blaster.

If you're buying this for a little one (or even a bigger one), be sure to use glasses or safety glasses. Nerf darts always seem to find eyeballs. I hit my wife in the eye from across the house, in the dark. She just stuck her head out to spot me and somehow my modified blaster traveled 100ft and popped her in the eye. I wanted to teabag her so bad, but I had to make sure she was ok first. We always make sure we have on glasses now.

Pros:
- Quick to fire a shot
- Decent power

Cons:
- Doesn't have good accuracy outside of 15 feet
- Bullet falls out of the shooting barrel when tilted
- Laser is not very helpful and fairly weak

It's honestly not a terrible gun, but I wish I would have gone with the Triad instead. A few of my friends got that one and it's much more powerful and has better accuracy.

When I first opened the box and saw the weapon, I thought 'gee, smaller than a Nitefinder'. I loaded a bullet and cocked it. Very smooth. Then I shot. 'HOLY CRAP!' I thought as I saw it fly off super fast. 50+ feet out of the box, easily up to 75 with a little angle.
Well, this is my first N-Strike Elite blaster, and it shoots farther than any other blaster I have. It puts the Longstrike to shame and is fairly accurate. Supports most other bullets but preferably Elite darts for most accuracy. If you lose them, Streamline AKA Clip system darts work fairly well. Suction and Sonic AKA Whistler won't fit in the chamber.
I strongly don't recommend this weapon or other Elite N-Strike blasters for younger kids, as this gun is much more powerful than the regular N-Strike arsenal and can easily hurt someone particularly their eyes. I accidentally shot a friend in the face over 30 feet away and still managed to hurt him.
The blaster has 1 tactical rail, which will support any and all tactical rail accessories. I found it quite useful with the Barrel Break's shotgun ammo holder accessory, giving another 8 rounds. The laser is much improved over the Nitefinder, being pinpoint rather than adjustable, but be warned it uses AAA and not AA like the Nitefinder. Underneath the laser can hold up to 2 elite or streamline darts. The perfect sidearm and an awesome gun overall, highly recommended. This gun did not disappoint in any way, so 5 stars. Well done, Nerf.

I love this blaster, the bullets shoot very close to the laser. The first one I had, the cover for the batteries would pop off, but my new one is much better.

We bought a couple of pink nerf guns for me and my daughter and this blue nerf gun for Dad. We like running around playing "war" and these are small, affordable and strong shooting toys. We plan to take them on a picnic to play in the park. WARNING these sting and should not be used at close range and especially aimed above the chest. Great for target shooting like a can or playing outdoors where long range can be ensured. It is possible that the spring mechanism will loosen over time but for now these are strong little guns. Another tip: you can purchase 100 generic bullets for these nerf guns on ebay for $9 and play outdoors without worrying that you will lose bullets or wasting time looking for them.

This is a great gun,
It shoots very far, has a little sting to it, and is cheap for what you are getting.
The only bad things about it are that old, used bullets do not stick in the barrel , and will not shoot.
It has to be reloaded and cocked after each discharge, making it a bad primary weapon, but that is what the blaster is.
It does not come with batteries. And shoots a little up.
On the other hand, it shoots far, it's easy to handle and use, it works with any darts, not just elite, and it's cheap
Totally a good purchase!

This gun is great. you aim the red light on an object and it usually hits it, sometimes you have to aim a little lower than the object your trying to hit. It also works with any other dart like the suction cup darts, or whistlers etc. however I find it works the best with the new nerf elite suction cup darts. You can buy that at target now. pack of 30 for 10 dollars. This gun is a lot beter than the original night finder because its less bulky, makes less sound and has a seperate button for the light.

Shoots farther and with more accuracy than the big guns. I can beat the kids even though they have the fancy ones with lots more ammo.
