This review is from: Nerf N-Strike Raider Rapid Fire CS-35 Dart Blaster (Toy)
Length:: 1:57 Mins
My sons, Kai and Kou (ages 8 and 6), are the happy owners of Nerf's Raider Rapid Fire CS-35 blasters. They like the 35-dart capacity, the adjustable stock and the smooth slide action. Two Christmases ago, my sons received Nerf N-Strike Nite Finder EX-3 from a family friend, who wisely knew boys like Nerf blasters (she has two older boys of her own). Those Nerf Nite Finders turned out to be our sons' favorite toys on Christmas day. The Nite Finders have a pull mechanism that only loads one dart at a time, so you can imagine the thrill our sons had this Christmas when they discovered these Nerf N-Strike Raider Rapid Fire CS-35 Dart Blasters can load a 35-dart drum magazine for rapid fire play. Just watch the video and you'll see. BTW: Nerf quality is worth the price. Rating: Five stars.

Humans VS Zombies, September 23, 2010

This gun does what its supposed to. However, to the degree that it does what its supposed to is varied. Roughly 3/5 of the shots went straight, while the other 2 dropped to the ground. Although this is more of a problem with the drum magazine than the gun itself, I feel like it must be included. But, that was the only downside to this gun. It helped me stay alive for four days during a game of Humans VS Zombies, a game played at my college (RIT) where humans must survive 5 days and complete an extraction mission on the fifth day. This is a great gun for the game: large magazine, light weight, removable stock, and fast firing.

Is it a Shotgun or a Tommy gun?, January 13, 2011

The Nerf Raider has the highest capacity clip system dart container you can get your hands on. That alone makes this gun worth the purchase as you can put it into your favorite clip system blaster (such as the Recon, Longstrike, or even the Stampede).
The Slam Fire feature allows you to hold the trigger and fire as fast as you can pump the handle. Unfortunately this leads to frequent jams which then severely damage your darts. I don't really recommend the slam fire feature because of this. If you are going to lend this gun out, it is difficult to explain and people will probably mess up and damage your darts. Aside from the slam fire feature, the firing mechanism is the same as the Recon and actually has less distance as the barrel is longer which slows the darts down more.
Is it fun to use? Yes. Do I recommend it? Maybe... if you want the big drum. Otherwise, you might want to reconsider the Recon.
