the nerf cs 6 recon gun is an excellent addition to the nerf arsenal.the gun, which comes with 6 stream lined darts a clip and 4 interchangable part is:good becasue: 1-good quality 2- doesent jam often(unless you dont know what youre doing......) 3-good price-(i got mine on amazon for 12$-for some reason the prices of all nerf products went up x2.......) 4-very easy for modding(look up on youtube) 5-has GREAT range(35+ ffet after modding...) 6-very realistic looking and very big! cons: 1-led light didnt work at first-took it apart and put it back and it was fine. 2-this gun has a clip holder that lets the clip fall after reloading-and you must push the tabs on the side constantly to prevent that. 3-not enough darts-if you buy this gun get more darts and another clip. 4-reloading the gun is annoying becasue you have to push it till the end-and then push a bit harder for the last 1/2 inch. all in all this gun is great for the price(12$), good quality and lots of fun!

The good:1 the gun has parts that can come on and of so you can customize the gun. 2 good for sniping people with out them knowing where you are. 3 the scope is great The bad 1 some times i put the darts in the clip the wrong so it jams 2 only shots 15 feet 3 it does not come with enough darts 4 the back is not so stable 5 you can only use one kind of darts Solutions 1 there is a arrow on the clip that points witch way the darts go. use a marker to draw over it. (it is the same color as the clip so run your finger across the clip until you find it.) 2 modify it (see youtube) 3 get more darts! tips 1 draw or spray paint on it to make it look cooler 2 modify it 3 get more clips 4 if you have a younger brother don't leave it out! I got this item in October 2009 and nothing has broken. if you want a gun that is good for sniping get this if you want a gun that is more for a open environment get the raider cs-35

My son received this as a birthday gift, and absolutely loves it. It was his first working gun toy, and he really enjoys it. The laser "sight" that shines a beam on the target is surprisingly accurate at close range, and it doesn't take long to figure out how much higher to aim to achieve decent accuracy at longer distances. The gun also seems durable, although the darts themselves are NOT, thus my lower rating for durability. I'm here at Amazon buying replacement darts, and he received this toy only 2 days ago.The main reason the darts are getting damaged is the tendency this gun has to jam. Chalk it up to a child's impatience if you wish, but this is something the manufacturer should fix for future versions of this gun. Another minor quibble I have - and this may be one of the reasons for the constant jamming - is that the clip that holds the darts doesn't hold them like it should. I first thought my son was just doing it wrong, but only about half the time can I get 6 darts to stay put in the clip long enough for me to fully insert it into the gun. It's quite frustrating for an adult, and my son has even less patience with it. He's now started inserting only 3 darts at a time into the clip, which seems to work better, but then of course he's stuck reloading more often. All in all, it was a great gift that someone gave him - but I wouldn't buy it myself given the choice.
