I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon, and am not in the habbit of writing bad reviews, but this Nerf Vulcan is unbelievably bad. Just as you'll see with most of the other Christmas reviews, you'll be lucky if this thing makes it one day before breaking. My 8 year old and I are not hard on stuff, and this thing made it half a day before the terminal "piston jam" occured, putting a damper on the toy he wanted most for Christmas. The cost to UPS it back to the Amazon vendor is almost as much as the purchase price, so you have no easy solution but to eat it. We've always been big Nerf fans, but with this mess I doubt I'll but another. If you buy one, get it from a local store, because you'll be returning it.

What a complete piece of junk. It's a pain to load and complicated for a child to figure out. It jams and shoots the darts weakly. The belt mechanism is horribly designed. Don't waste your time and money - very frustrating.

Like many other Vulcan reviewers, we had a similarly disappointing experience. The ammo belt would not feed automatically or manually. I wish I had read the reviews before agreeing with my son that the toy should be at the top of his Santa list. While the full refund and free return shipping from Amazon is some consolation, the number of negative reviews should cause Hasbro to stop selling this or do some retooling.

My son got the Nerf Vulcan gun for Christmas and within less the a day of little use the gun has jammed and won't unjam. The Jam is with the mechanism in side of the gun. The piston that retracts with each shooting motion is stuck and won't retract. We will be returning this product for a full refund. Too good to be true.

It's awesome! Lots of ammo so you're not searching around the house all the time for darts.
