I know people experiment with their own flavorings, but for those of us too lazy or just too inexperienced, this is a great starting point. I made my first ground beef jerky with this mix and took it to a small social event that evening. All the men loved it and several of the women did too. Not for the mild of heart because there is a kick to this flavor.

This makes some gooooooooooooooood jerky. That is if you like your jerky spicy. I like to mix this with original flavor. I make 3 lbs. of jerky at a time. I use I pack of Hot and Spicy and 2 packs of original flavor. That gives me the spicy flavor I love without totaly setting my mouth on fire.

This spice was just as easy as all the other nesco jerky spice kits. Usually when something is marketed as hot and spicy, it's not really all that hot or spicy... but this is. It has a very good flavor to go along with the spice. The heat is not over bearing, but it is there, and it is good.

I'm new to making my own jerky but these spice packs make it simple. This is my favorite of the Nesco spices because it gives the jerky a great flavor and a bit of a kick. Highly recommend!

I bought this not expecting much, most things labeled as "spicy" are really just a joke but this seasoning really has a kick to it, not as spicy as adding drops of Dave's Gourmet Insanity Hot Sauce" to the meat but enough to keep you wanting more.

People who think Tobasco Sauce is hot should stay away cause this seasoning is hotter than that, otherwise, I highly recomend it.

I love jerky and make it ofter with my dehydrator. I tried many recepies and other brands of mix but Nesco is the best I had. It is so quick and easy using ground meats. I like to get different flavors and mix them in one batch of ground beef. It is really the best!

After only using Jack Links jerky mix I think I have found a new favorite. I actually bought it because of the reviews of people saying it was for people that like hotter, more spicy jerky mixes. I use to use Jack Links and add cayenne pepper and pepper flakes to make it hotter. I think this mix has just the right hotness to it without having to add anything. It suggests adding water to the mix if your doing strips of meat but I've found that to be unnecessary. Also it's pre packaged for each pound of meat so you don't have to use a bunch of measuring devices to get the right amount. Good stuff!

I bought this with a jerky kit for my son, he loves it!! He has made his first batch of jerky and is thrilled with the outcome.

Love this seasoning kit. Too bad I ordered two spicy and received one spicy and one teriyaki. Really? REALLY? :(

This is the besk jerky spice I have found! I add a little extra, but, it is good all on it's own. The Hot & Spicy is perfect, even for my 8yr. old. If you love making jerky, this is the spice to get!
