I bought these trays for my nesco Snackmaster FD-60. Even though it says these fit the FD-50, they fit mine as well. My dehydrator is the one with the motor on top. These trays are the exact same ones that came with my machine. Buy 2 to get the free shipping!

I had four trays and bought four more. 4 is a no brainer because of the free shipping. Now I have 8 trays and can make 5-6 pounds of deer burger into jerky at one time! Get the jerky kit with the caulk gun thing. It is great! Ground burger ends up as jerky quickly and easily.

Even for the not-so-serious dehydrator users (like me) the 4 trays the FD-50 comes with are not enough. The extra trays allow me to dry a whole batch of food at one time instead of stringing the operation out over several days. These trays are identical to the trays that come with the FD-50 dehydrator in every way (size, color, quality, etc).

I've got a Nesco American Harvest Snackmaster, model FD-50. I checked the box before I placed the order because there's two sizes of add-a-trays with two different diameters. And, on cursory examination, it does indeed have the same diameter and so forth. But it doesn't quite fit.

The edges are slightly different and fittings don't quite align. If I put one of these new trays directly on the base unit, they don't actually fit the unit and leave a significant (1/8") gap all around the bottom edge-- something that totally defeats the purpose of the seal that lets the unit circulate enclosed air as it dehydrates. However, if I place one of the original trays (that came with the unit) down first, this fixes the gap at the bottom; if I then put the new trays on top, the weight of at least 2-3 trays will "moosh" the gap between the new trays and the original trays closed (mostly).

It's worth noting that the model pictured on the box doesn't look at all like mine; in the picture the fan/heater unit is on top rather than at the bottom (which doesn't make much sense, as heat _rises_). If your unit has the fan base on the bottom rather than on the top, you may run into the same problem as I. It bears the same model number and the trays appear to be dead ringers, but they're slightly different.

It works grudgingly well enough with my kludging that I'm not returning the product-- I labeled my original trays so that I wouldn't confuse them. Still, given the product specifies my model by name (FD-50), and has the "Nesco American Harvest Snackmaster" name on box (same as my unit), plus given how much they cost, I would expect an actual fit. Especially since these are the pretty much the only trays I've been able to find. All of which is a shame, because my Snackmaster is otherwise one of the best dehydrators on the market.

I wanted to add 4 more trays to my dehydrator so I checked with Nesco and they wanted an outrageous price,shipping was a killer too.Checked on Amazon and found the trays cheaper and had "Free Shipping" on orders over $25 ,So I bought 4 trays for $27.98 + free shipping.You won't find a better deal !!! The trays fit the FD-50 & FD-60 models perfectly.

We have owned our American Harvest dehydrator for 15 - 20 years and I would like to say up front that it has done a great job over the years. However the original trays have yellowed, started to age and crack, as one would expect for that many years of service. We decided to purchase these replacement trays and were somewhat disappointed. The trays are no where near as sturdy as the original trays. I guess this comes through years of cost cutting programs ;-)

There is not much to say here, if you have the FD-50 you already know exactly what these are like. If you don't they are two circular molded plastic trays exactly like the ones that come with the FD-50. They work well, but seem a bit expensive for what they are.

I bought these add-on trays for my FD-61. One of the trays had a warp in the center so, while it can be used, it can only be the top tray so the weight of the top piece holds it down. Amazon was very helpful in fixing the issue in a way that I was happy with and did not involve me having to box and ship the product back. I just think Nesco needs to be a bit better at their quality control.

On a side note, if you have the FD-61 these do fit but they are a slightly different color. I expected this and it can even be helpful if you are drying different flavors of jerky and don't want to mix them up. Again, this would be a 5 star item if Nesco would make sure they weren't sending out defective items.

Great price. Shipping was fast. I was a little disappointed that one or two of the trays were not perfectly round.It leaves a small space when placed over the other trays. No big deal there as it really does not affect the dehydrating process just thought I would mention it. I am happy with the purchase.

Not much could be said here. Extra plastic trays. A bit overpriced for just two trays. I stacked 7 once on the dehydrator and it worked nicely. cleanup is easy with meat but a bit harder with vegetable products. You may have to soak overnight. Overall, good product.
