I chose this book for my 3-year-old daughter who is so curious about animals especially birds and nests. It is factual and the illustrations are rather sweet. Discusses how a mother bird builds a nest and raises her family with the daddy bird. It is a fairly fast read but not too short, making it perfect for a bedtime story.

This is a great little book to teach preschool children basic information about birds - they eat seeds and bugs, build nests, lay eggs, and develop feathers after birth.

The kids in my class really enjoy this book. It's not a catchy rhyming book, or one with a heart-warming story, but it has good information in it and is short and to the point with really good illustrations.

All the picture books on www.suesbooks.info are great bedtime reads. They are all beautifully illustrated, colorful, easy reads, and sturdy, which is important because this book will be read over and over. There is a great deal of information that is found in these books and a great deal that you can improvise and talk to them about.

This is a sturdy, beautifully illustrated book that takes children through the whole life-cycle of a nest. I used it in our Spring study, in preschool.

This book is just adorable. Very bright engaging colors and drawings of a bird building a nest then caring for the eggs and then the babies until they leave the nest. Perfect for a cuddly read with a younger or a first reader for an older.
