My fiancee and I have very good communication skills and we still found topics in this book that we hadn't discussed and needed to discuss. I also found very good advise on dealing with Mother-in-laws that has really helped me with my relationship with my soon-to-be Mother-in-law. I highly recommend this book to newly engaged couples that need to have some serious conversations about finances, in-laws, and kids.

It is great book to encourage communication. However, I believe this book should be read and discussed before marriage. I enjoyed the reading.

I loved this book and it was so easy to read. It had great ideas and advice. I actually got my husband to participate in the quizes. This is a great gift for a wedding shower. I purchased two extras for that reason. I recommend this to all newlyweds.

This book is the perfect way to tackle many touchy subjects for the newlywed. Hopefully they have discussed all of them, but just in case this book makes it easy than ironing out where you (as a newlywed couple) are going to spend the Christmas holidays on Dec 23rd. It is also an neutral way to bring up delicate subjects that you would LIKE to discuss, but feel a bit "eeeehhh" about such as the different way you and your new husband view and spend money (MUCH more delicate than sex). Hopefully you have had some pre-marital counseling, but even with it there is always some item popping up. Highly recommend it as a bridal shower gift that would be MUCH appreciated!

This was a gift for my daughter and son-in-law. I thought it covered some important points for soon-to-be married or just married couples.

I don't think that I am considered a "newlywed" any longer. That being said, I love "The Nest" magazine and thought this would be a great addition to my extensive book collection. There are so many wonderful strategies for all kinds of personalities to help with everything from the not so big of decorating, frustrating family situations to the BIG, BIG challenges of life of finances. With tips, thoughts, and how it worked for me exerpts. This is now the "card" that will be attached to EVERY wedding gift I give from here on out!!!

The Nest book for newlyweds is a great book for those in a committed relationship or marriage. The practical tips are helpful and the links are a great way to go further. I don't find the short comments and feedback from nesters is helpful but overall the book is essential! I love the size and colorful pages.

I've been reading this on and off with my husband of 8 months during long car trips and it's been a really good conversation starter. The open ended question lists are a great way of finding things out about your spouse that I wouldn't have thought to ask directly. A fun read.

It'll make a wonderful gift for any newlywed.

This is an amazing and fun read for all newlyweds out there! Carley Roney and theknot.com team have really outdone themselves with their practical advice and research. Topics include "married money", inlaws, buying your first home, division of household chores, decorating, keeping the flame alive, how to keep your friends, kid talk, holidays, and future planning. I met the author herself during a book signing here in Chicago, and I now have an autographed copy! My husband Dan and I have great fun reading her book. A must have handbook for couples everywhere!
