5.0 out of 5 stars Yes, this book will help you with your CNE test!
I purchased this book on a Friday evening. I took the test four days later on Tuesday morning. I passed. This was my last test for CNE certification. Enough said.

I feel sorry for those who rely on this book as their sole source for passing this exam. The book had numerous errors and seemed like it was rushed to press without being proofread. This review is from: NetWare 5 CNE: Integrating Windows NT Study Guide (Hardcover)
I feel sorry for those who rely on this book as their sole source for passing this exam. The book had numerous errors and seemed like it was rushed to press without being proofread. Luckily, I was familiar enough with the material to pick up the inaccuracies. If you use this book, I advise you use it in conjunction with another source of information to be sure you cover all the exam topics. After realizing that this book wasn't cutting it, I picked up the Novell Press book on integrating IntranetWare & NT and it proved most valuable in helping me pass this exam.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good refresher on NT, July 16, 1999
This review is from: NetWare 5 CNE: Integrating Windows NT Study Guide (Hardcover)
I passed my MCSE exams over a year ago, and since I do very little with NT Server at work, this Sybex book was a good refresher on NT Server, telling you everything you need to know for the NT Server questions on the test. But this book didn't go into much detail about NDS for NT. For information about NDS for NT, I read the relevant sections in Novell's Guide to Integrating Intranetware and NT. Even though this Novell Press book covers NDS for NT 1.0, it does cover what you need to know for the exam. I passed this exam today with a 757 out of 800. (Only 2 more tests and I will be a Master CNE!)

3.0 out of 5 stars Horribly out of date, but still necessary, January 24, 2002
By A Customer
The best way to study for the Integrating NT exam is to study the white book - if you can get your hands on one. If not, you do not have many options. Pretty much the only thing you can do is get this book and supplement it with the Novell 'Integrating NetWare 5 and NT' book, which is not a study guide. This book does provide an excellent description and review of NT, which is absolutely essential for the exam and for being able to work your way through the other book. You can safely skip the section on the IntraNetware client, since that is sooooooo out of date, and you can read the last chapter on integrating NDS for IntraNetware to get a quick broad overview of the stuff that will be described more in depth in the other book. DO NOT, under any circumstances, rely on this book alone for the Integrating NT exam, 50-644. I took that exam recently and passed it, however looking at Novell's site, it looks like they changed this exam again and gave it a new test number.

1.0 out of 5 stars Title and info Misleading, October 12, 2001

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: NetWare 5 CNE: Integrating Windows NT Study Guide (Hardcover)
This book has some info you need for the elective, but doed not cover all of the topics. The test number listed in this book is 50-636. Novell has never heared of this test. The real test is 50-644. When I asked the publisher, they say that the book was written for an old test. I am very disapointed.
