I bought this adapter for my laptop. It works as advertised.

- Simple and sturdy USB connector design (comparing to the common PCMCIA type which has very flimsy connector).

- Very easy to install, but if you still use Window 98, you may need to have the original Win98 CD on hands to complete the installation

- Inexpensive and its five years warranty means lifetime in the computer world. Just don't step on it I think it will outlast the computer.

It needed no configuration for installation on our Tivo, plugged right in and was functional. We have one of the Series 2 Tivo boxes.
