These adapters really, right out of the box. I have three, with the primary adapter connected to my home router. Allows you internet access in places in your home or patio, that may not allow access to your router signal. I used it primarily for my Vizio TV which is able to access the internet, via Netflix, Amazon, etc. The TV is in a location which has brick walls between the TV and home router. It was great, because I had a very expensive TV, and it would have been a shame, not to have internet access, or to have to route unsightly cables thru the house.

I was a bit skeptical about this item. But I bit and I am glad I did. I have a LG DVD player BD390 that is wireless and I could get little connection for its movie features.I bought one of these little jewels and now I get a connection in full HD on all the movies from the various services this dvd player provides. Its very simple plug n play. Cables are provided, but they are somewhat short in length. No issues as I have tons of cables. I actually am floored this works so well. Amazon has it for 59 dollars. Do not spend more.

When I got this I was glad that I don't have to run wires from the 2nd to the 1st floor and it should be more throughput than wireless. Having lots of experience I would have cut the signal quality to half (or better as I hoped).
After extensive testing of power outlets the maximum was a 11MBit connection. I may have bad power lines or whatever but quite frankly I expected much more from all this powerline stuff.

The design is nice and installation is handy, fwiw.

I needed Ethernet in a room no wireless could reach (due to distance). Just plugged one of these in by the router, another by the computer, hooked up the included Ethernet cables and everything just started working like I had run a cable from the router to the computer. I've had these installed for a few weeks and not a single problem. I could not be more pleased.

I use these in virtually every room. Despite having a high end great WIFI router its still good to know that my ROKU and APPLE TV boxes are guaranteed an internet connection and not subject to walls or appliances weakening the signal occassionally. Its as easy as plug'n'play and I have absolutely no idea how the technology inside it works but it just does

I bought this item to add a second port to an existing XET1001 system. Unfortunately, it had very spotty performance in all of the outlets in the room where I needed it. In some other rooms, it worked flawlessly. My guess is that it works best when all of the units are running on the same phase of the house wiring.

We lost one of two that Dish Network installed for our new receiver, and this one looked close enough to the other brand so I bought it at a good price. When it arrived I plugged both in, and voila, we're online. No muss, no fuss, just works.

It worked, but the actual speed was very slow, 1 mbs...Although the distance was only 50 feet from the base device... not very useful in a say 2-3 bedroom house

It could be my house's wiring, but I had talked to someone else that had told me these things are generally binary - either they work well or not at all. In my house it has proved to be something in between. When I connect to speedtest.net over a wireless link to my router connected to a cable modem, I get around 10M download and .7M upload speeds. Using the power line adapters to get to the router instead, I get <1M download speed and about .1M upload speed. I also get occasional "outages" where the browser reports there is no connection and then refresh works.

Anyway, I have reason to suspect that my home wiring could be better; lights affected by something powering on that seems like it should be more isolated, a higher incidence of bulbs burning out in certain places, etc. Some people are really happy with these adapters and I think it is likely that they have them on better wiring. So if your wiring has given you reason to suspect it has some issues, be forewarned.

This product worked barely two years for me. I purchased a new set of the same make and model and I couldn't get that set to identify the one good one from the old set, which the manufacturer claimed it would. I tried repeatedly following their instructions, which I felt were not clearly written.

Finally, I returned that set and replaced it with a Linksys model that works very well. A little more money but an overall better product and it worked as a "plug and play" product should work.

It has been my experience with electronics that often trying to save money - as we all desire to do - can cost you time and cause endless frustration. I hope these comments have been helpful.
