Not for Orthopaedists....,
This review is from: Netter's Orthopaedics, 1e (Netter Clinical Science) (Hardcover)
This book from Walter Greene is a text which goes throught basic information highlighting many important orthopaedic conditions. Good book for students, primary care doctors, or those in ancillary staff. Very few illustrations provided, and less detail than expected. No approaches provided. Beware, more of a general ortho text than an anatomy reference. The leader: "atlas quality reference" is a little misleading.

This is an excellent book for an orthopedic rotation. It includes the most common injuries you will see and goes directly to the point. I highly recommend it!

I would not recommend this book. The book is not very well written and is not the "usual" Netters type book. I was very disappointed with this book.

This review is from: Netter's Orthopaedics, 1e (Netter Clinical Science) (Hardcover)
I read this books and I think it is ok for beginers, its a way to think orthopaedically....for young fellows just as an pre view of the orthopaedics.Today, may 31st 2010 I can say some other things abour this book: I bought and read this book because I had a traveling time so I use to read in the afternoon and believe me I found a lot of data I never saw in textbooks, there are many tips for the expertice clinician, I found this book as enjoyable as I found Salter's classical book 30 years ago. Of course a resident need to read and study textbooks as Campbell, Chapman, Thatchjain, and many books during the training hospital years, but a book like this will give any one a very nice afternoons and ...so many tips I did not remmember I read before. |
