This DPP 44 switch allows you to hook up four dual tuner PVR's with only one cable to each PVR as long as you also have a "separator" for each PVR. This limits the necessity of cascading older SW44 switches or avoiding getting into other multiple switch configurations, as well you only require one cable to each reciever and not two. When I moved to DPP technology from the older legacy I also noted a 10% increase in signal strength without the alignment of the dish, however I cannot confirm if I actually gained in signal strength or this is simply a different phenomena of DPP technology.

DP44 switch worked fine for about 2 years which is nice but Power Incert never worked. I contacted seller who sounded wasn't intrested to hear my problem and he didn't say he will replace or refund. Any way after few contacts I gave up and worked around my other options, But power Insert was a fake or faulty one.

If you use Bell TV in Canada and are switching to HDTV, and you plan on using 3 or more HDTV receivers, then this is the product you need. You will also require a DPP Twin LNB and DPP Separators.
Bell TV carries the DPP Twin LNB and Separators, but not the DPP44 switch. If you have three or four HDTV receivers, Bell must install a second dish on your house. If you order this DPP44 switch, you only need ONE DISH to service four HDTV receivers. I have this system working in my house and my In-Law's house. AND, very important, if you are using dual-tuner receivers, you will NOT require additional satellite cables installed, which is a huge bonus. Bell TV should have been using the DPP44 switch a long time ago.

Works just right
This is a previous technology switch for adding connections to a DishNetwork satellite system. The switch has worked just like advertised.
