5.0 out of 5 stars Exam Cram 2 is the easiest way!
I purchased and read this book from cover to cover in less than 3 weeks. I thought the information was very detailed and over prepared me for the exam. After taking the network+ exam, I now know this book is more than sufficient for passing the exam. I scored a 873 out of 900 possible and have no REAL experience in the networking field. If you want a bullet proof...

If you want a bullet proof combination, I used Exam Cram 2 along with the Mike Meyers second edition all in one book. I am stressing the fact that all you need is either book. Exam Cram 2 is concise and packed with information. The sample preplogic test that comes with the cd is extremely difficult relative to the actual network+ exam. Don't lose your confidence if you score a 70% on the preplogic practice exam! I scored a 72% and panicked, but obviously it was a good enough score. The actual test is not difficult, contrary to some newsgroup posts. Good luck!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not sufficient for Certification exam N10-003, August 18, 2007
This review is being written 8-18-2007 for Network+ Exam Cram 2 (2nd Edition). I just took and passed the exam a couple of days ago, and was not overly impressed with this book as a study guide. The two practice exams in the book were much easier than the real exam. The book covers Appletalk which was not mentioned in the exam at all. The exam had more coverage of Novell, especially interworking with Windows, and this topic was not adequately covered in the book. The exam had many troubleshooting problems, and the book did not provide enough practice or techniques in this area. My extensive networking experience in other areas, combined with this book, did help me pass the exam. A more comprehensive book would be better. The practice exams should be rewritten, since good results on them give the reader a false sense of security concerning the real exam.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good review but riddled with errors, March 1, 2006
By
As a MCP, A+, Network+, and 2 IT AS deg.s, I found the book helped me review for the exam, but about every 4 pages I found a minor error in the information. This would be confusing or detremental to a newbie, so YMMV. I found the book helped me review quickly and cleanly for the test.
The book also lies by saying that it will give a discount on the exam. It does not.

4.0 out of 5 stars Happy with product, August 15, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Network+ Exam Cram 2 (Exam Cram N10-002) (Paperback)
After purchasing this book I read some reviews from users that were unhappy because the book was missing important information. Concerned I suplemented my study with Network+ Study Guide by David Groth. I did find information presented in the Network+ Study guide that was not in this Exam Cram book. I also supplemented my prepreation with Preplogic practice tests. I passed the exam first time with 766. I may have been lucky but my specific test did not have any questions that were not covered in the Exam Cram book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book.....!, February 20, 2003
This review is from: Network+ Exam Cram 2 (Exam Cram N10-002) (Paperback)
Almost aced the exam and this book made it seem easy. In fact, I felt the book over prepared me for the exam which is a good thing. This book is all you need to pass with 3 exams (2 in the back of the book and 1 on the CD). Welcome Back Exam Cram2!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book***, January 8, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Network+ Exam Cram 2 (Exam Cram N10-002) (Paperback)
This book certainly helped me pass the exam. The things I liked about the book:

* Follows the Network+ exam objectives making it easy to find the information.
* Material is all there to pass the exam.
* Practice exams really prepared me for the exam.
* Cram sheet at the front of the book is awesome for last minute test prep.
* 30% off exam discount!!!

This book was well worth the investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great review book., February 20, 2006
This review is from: Network+ Exam Cram 2 (Exam Cram N10-002) (Paperback)
I wont lie, I thought the test was easy. But it was because I read this whole damn book and watched some review videos from VTC.

But if i didnt have those videos, this book would be GREAT to pass the test. NOTE this is and OLD VERSION of the NEW n10-003 test. THERE ARE NO BOOKS FOR THE NEW TEST OUT. There is alot of wireless questions on the new test. Even though there is a new book out, know about 802.11i.

This book is great, well written, and REALLY informative, very user friendly so even IDIOTS can pass the exam.

ALso there are a few errors in it like some of the test questions show up in the exam same wording twice in one practice test at the end of the chapter.

Dont let that discourage you, read this book twice over, and you will pass the exam. Not that hard.

If you want to cry over a hard test, take microsoft server exams.

A+ was harder than this one. I am A+ N+ MCP (70290)

Good luck, remember to always use 2 diff books for 1 test, or two sources of review because often times one book leaves out stuff another thinks is important..

k peace

I just used this book and a few online tests and got an 833/900 on the exam. The book pretty much covers everything, just read it through a few times and take the practice tests and you should pass easily.

I got 886 out of 900 and this is the book I used. Nuff said. The information is organized clearly, and systematically follows CompTIA's exam objectives Domain by Domain. On a side note, The Prep Logic CD's test is WAY harder than the real thing. If you get 72% on the Prep Logic test, you will definately ace the real thing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Almost out of date., December 2, 2008
By
T. Beavers (Central Illinois) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book was for the 2005 exam. I took the 2007 exam within 2 weeks of getting this book and the exam cram 2 practice questions and passed. There were a few questions on the exam that weren't covered on these guides, but apparently it was enough to pass. When I took the test I was making consistently over 90 on all the practice exams. It would be good to have the practice questions book and a more up to date study guide with the updated questions. The general information is adequate but lacks in wireless and security specific information.
