I chose this item as it was only £2 more expensive than a 200Mbps Netgear kit. The extra 300Mbps is a bit of a false economy as it will rarely be used, but as I play games over LAN it did seem useful to me. It set up really quickly. Though the instructions weren't perfectly clear, it was easy enough to work it out. Within a minute of setting it up, I was getting around 10Mbps instead of my old 2Mbps. That's on an "up to 30Mbps" connection from Virgin. I was pretty impressed. It also allows me to cut out the need for a WiFi card which was causing a lot of problems for video streaming and gaming. I've now set Youtube to automatically start videos at 1080p and can confidently stream from OnLive, too.

I moved into a multi-story building and needed to have way to get my internet connection from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor. Buying a new higher power wireless card and a new router that deliver a steady signal was going to cost around $200. I was able to use this device stream video across my house as well as internet at the same time.

Pro:
Cheaper than buying new wireless equipment
Stable
Easier than running networking wires up a house
Easy to set-up
No management is needed once installed

Cons:
only 50 mb/s it can only achieve 500 mbps if plugged into the same power outlet

Just the first day. Getting 44 Mbps download and 11Mbps upload on xfinity speed test. Cable modem to wifi-router, wi-fi router to one of the adapters. The computer is plugged into another adapter on another wiring circuit (as per the fuse box).

My xifinity speeds at the modem are 50mbps download, so getting 44 mpbs from the back of a router on a secondary circuit seems pretty good. Latency also dropped from 20-22 ms to ~12-15ms.

Got this from Frys on sale for 1/2 of the amazon price.
