About the Author
The author has extensive personal experience of over 20 years in the field of neuro-urology including functional problems of the lower urinary tract. He has been involved in many teaching courses, amongst them those organised by the International Continence Society (ICS) and the European Association of Urology (EAU). He has lectured worldwide in the field of functional urology and has been chairman of the Standardisation Committee of the ICS for 8 years. He is a consultant physician in a spinal cord unit of an academic teaching centre in Maastricht, The Netherlands, where all the different diagnostic and therapeutic modalities are available to treat patients with neuro-urological problems.
