5.0 out of 5 stars Enlightening Work!, February 4, 2002
This review is from: The Neurobiology of Affect in Language Learning (Language Learning Monograph) (Paperback)
Schumann's book is an illuminating work on second language acquisition. SLA is an area that has not received as much research as First Language Acquisition. Therefore, this work is important in that it brings to light the importance stimulus appraisal has on a person's ability to have sustained deep learning. Schumann does a work of a linguist, neurobiologist, and researcher in this book and provides a thorough read with scientific fact and a well written thesis. The book should be read by all with an interest in the mind and language.
