5.0 out of 5 stars Readable, practical, February 22, 2005

Nice book that means just what it says. An excellent first chapter on the neuro exam. A good overview of neurological diagnostics. Then a very readable review of coma, CVD, headache, epilepsy, MS, Parkinson's, peripheral neuropathy, vertigo, behavioral neuro, AD, etc. A nice chapter on the neurotoxic effects of non-neurological drugs. And more. Complete, but as stated, not written for a neurologist. Nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice concise text, November 26, 2011

I used this text for studying for the boards. It is concise and relatively comprehensive though you will need other texts as a supplement. It was the easiest way to cover a wide range of disorders in a short period of time. The writing is well done and so is the organization. I will continue to use this book as a resource.

5.0 out of 5 stars I recommend for the non neurologist doctors wanting to understand more., July 27, 2011
I have recommended this book to several colleagues that I refer patients to. They wanted to know more about certain conditions, however I didn't have the time to explain it in detail to them, so I told them to read a little. The learned a lot and I can know have somewhat intelligent discussions with them about neuroscience. I did the same to understand their specialties better too. It has really helped improve patient care now that we are all on the same page.
